If your FlipaClip is crashing when you try to open a project, it’s because of the old stage/UI design.

I backed up all my projects in a panic thinking I needed a new iPad, cause granted, mine is really old. Come to find out that wasn’t the issue.

As someone who’s used FlipaClip, and ONLY FlipaClip for nearly half my life, I hate the new stage design. It changes the location of almost every button to the opposite side of the screen compared to where it used to be…not convenient when you have eight years of muscle memory built up.

I’m a college student. I barely have time to animate as it is, and now I have to waste time trying to learn the new stage/look up the new location of the buttons. Just today I was stuck trying to figure out where the ruler was 🥀

I want to hope that this is just a mistake, because I never thought in a million YEARS the developers would flush their old fans down the drain like this, but…here we are, I guess.

In any case, learning FlipaClip’s new UI is better than learning a whole new app, the way I look at it.

So, all of that is a long way to say that progress will be slowing down immensely until I get comfortable with the new stage design. If you read that whole thing, thank you! :)


TLDR: FlipaClip is forcing old users to learn the new stage/UI design, and my progress on Assymboly and other animations will slow down significantly because of it. Another L for us FlipaClip uncs 💔

Guessss what ya’ll?! I’m officially on Winter Break!! Which means…more time to animate, make soundtracks, and more!

Speaking of, I’m planning on releasing THREE new soundtracks this week, so be on the lookout for those! I’m particularly proud of ‘em :D

On top of that, I’m thinking of posting the Assymboly: Episode 0 Animatic in early-mid January. The episode WILL be fully animated/colored…eventually. For now, though, I want to at least get the rough animatic out so y’all have that context for Assymboly as soon as possible.

I want to thank yall for being patient with me as I work on Assymboly. I promise I’m cooking!! I have 6.5/10 scenes done on Ep 2 part 2 now, so over halfway done!!
