Walking through our old neighborhood, revisiting homes filled with early expat memories, reconnecting with familiar faces, and reflecting on the life-changing 2015 floods brought back emotions we hadn’t felt in years.

From neighborhood walks and favorite spots like Tryst Cafe to everyday surprises like checking grocery prices, this return reminded us just how much Chennai shaped who we are today.

Sharing this chapter means the world to us.

We love making videos as a family. Exploring the world, trying new foods, and sharing those moments with you has been such a gift. Your views, comments, and support truly mean the world to us. ❤️

That said, we recently had two of our food videos, including our latest “10 Craziest Hong Kong Street Foods,” get flagged by YouTube for “shocking content” and demonetized. It’s frustrating because we’re simply filming authentic, local food culture (in this case, just looking at roast goose hanging in a window!), and we disagree with the decision. Unfortunately, we don’t have any further recourse beyond the manual review.

We want to be clear that it’s not all about the money. We’d still be filming and traveling even if it didn’t earn a penny because we truly love it. However, as a family of five, these kinds of hits do affect how we fund our travels and continue making content regularly.

To help keep the channel going strong, you might start to see us include the occasional sponsorship or ad read. We’ll always make sure they’re a good fit and don’t interrupt the fun. And if you’re looking for other ways to support us, using the links in our video descriptions is a huge help. 🙏
