Gamers imma have to be real with you all... the past few months have been all over the place for me, ive done some really cool things, but the last month or so my mental health got really bad and now I'm genuinely thinking about quitting my channels altogether.
there's many factors that have gone into this decision, the main one being the changes in my personal life, but also the shift in the state of youtube as a whole, loosing interest in entertainment as a whole and ironically loosing touch with gaming because i was so absorbed in content making.
don't get me wrong I love creating stuff and its always been because I want to not because of some other secret agenda. but now I have other priorities in life and I don't think i wanna pursue this anymore.
Sure i may still make videos here and there purely for fun and not as any kind of career choice, but even then im not sure if i want to do that atm.
Thanks for all the support over the years, it was a really fun (if at times bumpy) ride, i have one video in the works i want to finish and then the final 10 year anniversary video, then unless anything changes, that'll be it.

Yo gamers! you know the drill by now... its been a long time blah blah blah.
But in the mean time I've been Cookin. I've got some cool stuff on the horizon!
First up I've made 8 videos on the second channel since the last post and I've had way more fun over there than I have here for a long time now. So if you want more chill, gameplay/tech stuff then go check me out over there @CastCube
Second of all here on the main channel I've got a few projects i wanna do thanks to the second channel for letting me vary the content and not burn myself out on one massive project etc; A follow up Win Mini vid, a MacBook vid and.... introducing...
The Minecraft movie! (well not the actual Minecraft movie but my own one)
So this is the plan so far: I'm gonna start by making a Short film about the First Day of Minecraft.
Then when I've learned how to make it better and get some feedback from people then I'll start working on the full movie.
It will be about the Journey of a guy (probably me unless anyone's auditioning lol) who got trapped in Minecraft somehow and has to defeat the ender dragon in order to escape. I think it's turning out really nice so far and I'm genuinely excited to see where this goes!

For now I've decided to put it on the Podcast channel and I've rebranded that channel
for more general news/topics, it'll still host the Podcast episodes but now has a lot
more purpose when there aren't any podcasts (although all of this is subject to
change).

Yo Gamers! I've seen a few peps make a second channel for more chilled, less edited content ( e.g. Scott's stash, Topic Arlo etc.) and i wanted your input for a similar kind here, should I put simple talking videos on this channel as well or would you rather the high effort stuff here and simpler videos on a second channel? I'd really like to make smaller stuff in the middle of bigger videos but not sure how that would affect this channel and what people would prefer to watch? Cheers epic gamers!
Its been a really long time since i uploaded, a lot longer than I thought it had. I've been struggling more with my health and motivation than usual lately so its been hard to get the energy to record and put together the videos hence the lack of uploads. I'm trying to get help but it's been quite the process as it seems elder scrolls 6 will release before I get what i need but there we are.
In the mean time I've been playing a bunch of games (mainly Oblivion as it's the best elder scrolls) and gaming a Lot more on my Win Mini, both as a main computer for a while (of course bob beat me to a video lol) and as a proper handheld, but i want to save it for video that's way bigger than i expected. Also the mac is pretty good now that i have a certain Linux Distro up and running, but again I wont spoil here what that is.
(shall i start calling my audience epic gamers, even ironically I cant stop cringing to the idea but that is what makes it fun right?)

So far ive tried MacOS (obviously), EndevourOS and Kubuntu. Are there any other Linux distros (or even windows) that I should try?
Or in other words? how comprehensive do you want the video?

YOOO epic gamers. Last month was a helluva mental rollercoaster for me but I'm much better mentally now, I still have the occasional rough day but now I kinda know how to deal with my ADHD (and probable autism) I'm in a much better headspace.
It's so nice being able to explain to people the limitations you always knew you had but didn't know how to explain and not beat yourself up over things that aren't your fault and/or our of your control. It's one of the biggest reasons why I couldn't keep uploading consistently like most creators do.
Sean @jacksepticeye spoke about it on his most recent video (as of when I post this) and as I'm sure a lot of people, it resonated quite closely with me, especially about having big ideas for projects but not being able to carry them out.
The more I learn about by disabilities/limitations the easier I can adjust the content I make so they can be more rewarding/fulfilling whilst hopefully be what the algorithm and ultimately the viewers want. Thanks for being with me in this journey so far and hopefully I can make significant progress before the channel's 10th Anniversary!

@WulffDen pretty much covers my thoughts exactly on the emulation scene, not really sure if i could have said it better myself honestly. Its a very nuanced topic but it one that's very important to me as some who ... ya know... wants to play the games I (should) OWN the way I WANT TO.
But im curious now would people want me to make a video on the topic or has it already been covered well enough?

YOOOO any tech YouTubers want this for a video? It's a pretty interesting tablet for it's time and even holds up relatively well today (besides the software anyways)
1080p IPS screen, quad core processor, 2gbs ram, good build quality, even decent speakers all for a budget price... In 2014!
Would do a video myself but I'm not sure if my audience would watch it lol 🤣
