I’m an amateur runner on a quest for fitness... or at least a good excuse to skip the gym. When I’m not running (or pretending to), you’ll find me diving into novels, getting lost in history, or watching far too many films because let’s face it, who needs a social life when you have great stories?
On this channel, I’ll be sharing my running journey, book reviews, historical deep dives, film recommendations, and probably way too many opinions about movies that no one asked for. Whether you’re here for some running motivation, a historical rabbit hole, or just need someone to rant about the best films of all time, you’re in the right place.

🏅 Half Marathon Done Today! 🏃♂️🔥
Pushed my limits and successfully completed a Half Marathon this morning and yes, got the medal! 💪
Funny part? I forgot to carry my phone at the event…so no Strava record this time 😅... only real effort and real memories!

As a result of the overwhelming defeat of the Mughal Empire at Karnal, the already-declining Mughal dynasty was critically weakened to such an extent as to hasten its demise.

On 14 February 1797, the British fleet under Admiral Sir John Jervis defeats the larger Spanish fleet under Admiral Don José de Córdoba y Ramos near Cape St. Vincent, Portugal during the Anglo-Spanish war. The British victory helped to secure Britain's access to the Mediterranean. Though the Spanish navy was defeated, it was not a decisive defeat, such as the Royal Navy would inflict on the French in the Battle of the Nile two years later.

🇯🇵 5 February 1597: A group of early Japanese Christians, known as the 26 Martyrs, are executed at Nagasaki by the new government of Japan, which saw Christians as being a threat to Japanese society. Over 100,000 more were eventually killed over the next 50-100 years for their faith. The remaining Christians in Japan at that time either recanted or went into hiding.
