I'm Chip Knowles, owner of Harper & Knowles in Oakdale, Louisiana. I took over the shop in 2019 from my late friend and mentor, Mr. Donald Harper Sr., and I've spent years repairing washers and dryers — which means I know better than most what holds up and what doesn't.

The Obsolete Professor gave me this idea in one of his comments. I just bought a new four-wheeled dolly and his comment was uncannily timely. I did the modification he suggested and now I don't get dirty looks from customers when I attach my shop dolly to the front of their appliances. Thanks again, Professor!
