Catfish madness 🤯😳 Monster catfish bigger than the boat! 😎

Some days everything just clicks… and this was one of those days. I started fishing from the boat on my usual spots, but the fishfinder stayed completely empty. No catfish anywhere. So I switched things up and moved to the shallower stretches with low weedbeds where I could still fish over the top.

A few minutes later, I spotted a faint mark between the weeds - maybe a catfish, maybe not… but it was enough to try. And boom - the rod folded over and chaos exploded. After a wild fight, this absolute unit of a catfish surfaced. That moment made me think: “Is this the method for today?”

It worked once, so I tried again. And again. Every 10 minutes another rod slammed over. Unreal. It’s crazy how moving just a couple of meters can be the difference between a dead session and constant action.

Catfish fishing can be tricky, but that’s exactly why you need to stay flexible. Change spots, change depths, change approaches - the fish won’t always be where you expect them.

This session became one of my best ever. Catching catfish in only 1.5–2 meters of water, barely seeing anything on the fishfinder because of the weed, but the moment a catfish eats… the rod bends in half or nearly gets dragged overboard. That’s catfishing at its finest.

Fishing for catfish is simply awesome, and doing it from the boat gives you so much more freedom to adapt and experiment. So next time the bites aren’t coming - don’t stay stuck. Try new areas, new depths, new methods. Give it everything… and the fish will come. 🎣🔥
