Today’s live fabric painting online class was truly a beautiful and creative journey. 🌸 In this session, we worked on an elegant traditional face painting on fabric, focusing on smooth skin tones, expressive eyes, and detailed shading. This artwork is still in progress, but the base work and facial expressions are already bringing the design to life.
During the live class, students learned step-by-step techniques such as fabric preparation, sketch transfer, color mixing, face highlighting, and blending on fabric. Special attention was given to eye detailing, lips, and natural skin glow, which are the most important parts of portrait fabric painting. 🎨✨

Transform a simple blouse into a stunning piece of wearable art with this traditional fabric painting design. 🌸 This artwork is inspired by classic Indian motifs, featuring a beautifully adorned goddess figure framed within intricate ornamental patterns. Such designs are perfect for blouse backs, sleeves, or even lehenga panels, giving your outfit a rich, heritage look.
In this tutorial, we start with a clean outline drawing, which is the most important step in fabric painting. A neat outline helps you place colors accurately and maintain symmetry in detailed areas like jewelry, facial features, and decorative borders. Use carbon paper or tracing methods to transfer the design onto your blouse fabric. Make sure the fabric is washed, dried, and ironed before you begin, so the paint adheres properly.
Begin painting from the center (the main figure) and slowly move outward toward the border. This helps prevent smudging.
