November 5, 2025 will be my fifth year on YouTube. It's been quite a grind. These days when making videos, I'm always telling myself - this could be the one that makes the algorithm favourable to me - still hasn't happened and I have been discouraged by it several times, but I still do it because even though I don't know when it will happen, I know one day it will happen, and so I look forward to that, and I keep going.
Finally finished recording the Pet Adoption Web App. Videos should start flowing in on Monday. It is a total of 11 hours before editing, so I will release it in parts first.
On other news, I'm learning supabase and I am frustrated by this error: new row violates row-level security policy for table "organizers"
I've started recording the next project: A Pet Adoption Web App with: 1. A pet recommendation system using user preferences. 2. A discover system 3. A notifications system if you receive a new message, or there's an update on an adoption application that you have made. 4. A messaging system with other pet owners. 5. An adoption application system 6. Uploadthing to list pets for adoption 7. A profile page with some general profile info, lists all your pets, and shows you the applications you have made and those you have received. 8. A settings page to update your profile info and bio, and update or change your preferences. 9. Built using NextJs, Clerk, Convex, Uploadthing
This is going to be a huge project - I'm speculating about 10 hours long. You can expect to start seeing it in about a week or two. Hope you're as excited as I am.
PS: The project looks similar in style to the RecipeHub project because I built this immediately after it
