Dooleena Gorge near Marble Bar is an outback gem that makes you stop and think, yep… this is exactly why we travel.

And the best bit? It's COMPLETELY FREE! 🙌

Just you, the fire, the stars, and a view like this.

Three nights became seven... then nine.

We actually could’ve stayed here forever… 🥰

THE DAMPIER PENINSULA… IS IT WORTH IT? 🤔

It’s a LONG way up the Dampier Peninsula… and once you add up the costs of fuel and accommodation, it’s certainly not a cheap trip either.

So we're wondering…

Is it worth the effort?

There were some incredible moments, but also some disappointments, which made us question whether the long drive and expense were justified.

Our Outback Journey - Caravanning Australia

We said we'd NEVER do the Tanami again... but here we are!

And this time, we're towing!

The Tanami Track is just over 1,000km in length and has a reputation for endless corrugations, thick bulldust, and testing both your vehicle and your patience. 😅

But it's not just all rough roads...

We found some incredible off-grid camps in the middle of nowhere, woke up to spectacular sunrises, and even tackled the Wolf Creek Crater rim walk at dawn before the heat set in. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip.

Of course, there was plenty of dust, some serious corrugations, and a few moments that reminded us just how remote this part of Australia really is.

Our latest episode follows the entire journey towing our caravan across one of Australia's most iconic and remote outback roads—from the challenges to the unexpected highlights.
