Never one to follow a blueprint, 24-year-old Clayton Mullen took the long road into country music. Born on the West Coast, raised on the East, and shaped by the Texas music scene, it wasn't until college that Clayton found his path in songwriting. What started in beer-can-covered frat houses, has turned into chasing down the highways of small-town America in an ‘06 Ford e-350. Already sharing stages with names of Chris Lane, Corey Kent, Warren Zeiders, and Vincent Mason, he will be joining Sam Hunt and Billy Currington in new markets this summer.
Mullen has amassed over 25 million streams and has continued to lay the stepping stones of a long career. As he prepares for his EP “Varsity Blues” later this year, Clayton is doubling down on who he is as an artist and songwriter. Inspired by the storytelling of Nashville, and early sonic influences, he is building a sound that sits somewhere between the radio and the back porch.
