Asalamualikum

Christmas is a holiday celebrated by Christians because they believe Jesus was born on December 25th.

According to their belief, Jesus is the son of God. They believe God sent His spirit or “seed” into Mary’s womb, and this is how Jesus was born. As Muslims, we do not believe God has a son, and we do not accept this idea.

We believe Jesus (peace be upon him) was a prophet of Allah and was born miraculously without a father, but he is not divine.

So celebrating Christmas or congratulating it is connected to a belief that is against Islamic teachings.
If someone wishes you Merry Christmas, it is important to understand what it really means. Saying Merry Christmas can be seen as agreeing with the belief that Jesus is the son of God.

If you do not believe that, Islam teaches that you should not say it.
We can be polite and respectful to Christians, but we do not have to participate in religious celebrations that go against our faith.

The Quran clearly says that Allah is One and has no partners. We must not associate anyone with Him.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that we should follow our faith and not imitate practices that contradict Islam.

From the Islamic perspective, celebrating Christmas or saying Merry Christmas as a religious greeting is not allowed.

We can be kind, respectful, and friendly to everyone while remaining firm in our belief in the oneness of Allah.

Assalamu Alaikum…
For a long time I have seen many of you in the comments saying that you want to contribute to Islamic content and do something meaningful.

I have been thinking about this and I got an idea. If you are able to create a video on a meaningful Islamic topic, you can now share it with me.

The video should be fully prepared by you, with storytelling like the style we use on this channel.

The content must be authentic, based completely on the Quran and Hadith, with a strong, deep, and powerful concept.
It doesn’t matter if you make one video or ten. The important thing is the quality of the concept and story.

Keep the video short, around one minute for now. Quality here means your idea, storytelling, and the message it delivers, not just resolution.

The video should truly touch hearts, clear doubts, or inspire someone in their faith. Anyone can participate, sisters or brothers, as long as the video is fully prepared, authentic, and meaningful.

Imagine the reward of your effort.
If your video helps even one person understand their Salah or learn something about Islam, the reward will continue as long as people benefit from it.

Even if the video is removed later, the impact you leave on someone’s heart will remain.

This is a way to earn continuous rewards and benefit your akhira.

We all have limited time in this world, so let’s do something meaningful for the hereafter by creating fully prepared videos that inspire and educate.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone

Most of you have been commenting about my channel name for a long time and suggesting that I should change it.
When I first created this channel my goal was to make funny and relatable content that everyone could enjoy.

But over time my interest started shifting toward creating Islamic, thoughtful and philosophical content that makes us think deeper about life and faith.

Because of this I started thinking a lot about the name of the channel and how it fits with what I create now.

I wanted a name that is not just catchy but also meaningful and reflects the kind of content I want to make.

After much thought I decided to change my channel name to Luqman Al Darrawi.

For search purposes it can also be written as Luqman Al Darawi. It is not just a random name.

I chose it because it is linked to the place where I was born.
I also chose it in a classical style inspired by the way Islamic scholars connected their names with places or identities.

It has a personal connection to me and also carries a thoughtful and reflective feeling that fits the channel now.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Whenever I share my short videos, I sometimes include light background music. I’ve noticed that some of my brothers and sisters comment, saying that music is prohibited and I should avoid it completely.

I understand the concern, and I want to clarify my perspective again for those who may not have read my previous post.

Usually, when I upload videos, I try to avoid music and rely on nasheed or natural sounds. However, occasionally, I add gentle instrumental sounds to make the reminders more engaging.

Music in Islam is not 100% prohibited in all forms. What matters most is the content, the purpose, and the effect of the music. In the Sunnah, the Prophet (pbuh) allowed the use of the duff, a one-sided drum, during weddings and Eid. Aisha (RA) mentioned that two young girls were singing with the duff in her house, and when Abu Bakr (RA) wanted to stop them, the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Leave them, for every nation has its Eid and this is our Eid” (Bukhari, Muslim).

Scholars have different views. The majority of early scholars were strict and said only the duff is allowed, but some allowed other forms of music as long as it is free from haram content. For instance, Imam Al-Ghazali, Imam Ibn Hazm, and in modern times, scholars like Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi and Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah have stated that music can be permissible if it does not contain bad words, promote immorality, or distract from worship.

I am not saying that all music is halal, so please do not misunderstand me. What I mean is that light background sounds, without haram lyrics and used carefully for a good reason, have been considered permissible by many respected scholars. My intention is only to make Islamic reminders more relatable and engaging—not for entertainment or any haram purpose.

Clearly, music that encourages sin or distracts from Allah is not allowed. But gentle, purposeful background sounds can be used responsibly.

At the same time, I want to emphasize that this is my personal understanding. I am not giving anyone permission to follow my approach blindly. Each person should study this matter carefully and come to their own informed decision.

Assalamu Alaikum
I used to make you all wake up and think about the real purpose of life. Not just routines or acts of worship, but the reason we are here and what we are truly working for.

Life is short and our potential is limited.

Some of you are young with many years ahead, some of you have less time remaining.
The question is simple but important.

What are you doing with your time for this purpose Are you building something meaningful Are you preparing yourself for the responsibility you were created for
Share your experiences and your actions so others can learn and be inspired.

Your story could be the reminder someone else needs today

Assalamu Alaikum.

Yesterday, I shared two videos. One was about the grave and the other was about stars and galaxies and why Allah created them.

These videos were full of knowledge and information. They are not ordinary videos.
I shared them because people have very different beliefs about these topics, and I wanted to open your mind.
I want you to think, reflect, and do further research on your own.

When I learn something new, I always research first. I watch different scholars, read books, check Hadith and Quran references, and do cross-references.

Then I gather all this knowledge and shape it into a video to share with you. The purpose is not views or attention.
It is to share knowledge so we can all benefit and learn together.

I encourage you to do the same. When you hear something new, research it, check reliable sources, and share your findings.

This way, everyone can learn and benefit. We are one Ummah, and spreading knowledge is part of our responsibility.

Remember, our time in this world is limited. Use it to seek knowledge, do research, and share beneficial information.

Don’t just accept or reject something without understanding.
Open your mind, explore, and grow.

A Small Reminder 🤍

Listen carefully my brothers and sisters.

Maybe if you missed some prayers or never performed Hajj or Umrah, Allah might forgive you if He wills.

But the scariest part of the Day of Judgment is not those things.

It is Huqooq al Ibaad the rights of people.
If you ever hurt someone, backbitten them, took something that was not yours, or spoke behind their back, you will have to pay them back with your good deeds on that Day.

Every single deed will matter.
And when your good deeds finish, their sins will be placed on you.

Then a person could end up in the Fire even after passing every other test.

The Prophet (Pbuh) said.
The bankrupt person from my nation is the one who will come on the Day of Judgment with prayer, fasting and charity, but he will have insulted this person, hurt that one, or taken the right of another.

Then his good deeds will be taken away and given to them.
If they finish before justice is done, their sins will be placed on him.
(Muslim 2581).

So please remember, one of the most dangerous sins is backbiting.

When you are at home and your mother starts talking about a relative, gently stop her and remind her not to.
When your brother or cousin begins gossiping, tell them it is wrong.

When you are at school and your classmate talks about another student or teacher, stop them with kindness.

Say no.
Do not do this.
It is very dangerous.

Guard your tongue and protect others from it.
Because on that bridge between Paradise and Hell, every word will matter.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone
I posted a video yesterday about giving Adhan in a newborn baby’s ear.
I’ve been thinking about making this video for a few days, but I hesitated because I knew it could shake people’s cultural beliefs and I might get backlash.
But then I realized if something is right, it is right.

Even if some people aren’t happy, it’s my responsibility to share the truth. After that, it’s up to everyone to accept it or not.
In the description of the video, I gave all the details hadith references, the chain, and scholars’ opinions.

If you read it carefully, you will understand the evidence.
Still, some people argue that this is Sunnah because it has been done for generations.
That’s why I wanted to clarify it clearly. I’m not saying you should stop doing it, but we need to understand the facts.
I also did additional research. I looked into the 4 rightly guided Caliphs Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali (R.A).

I could not find any evidence that they ever gave Adhan in a newborn’s ear.
If this was truly a Sunnah, wouldn’t there be records from their time?
Babies were born during their leadership so why didn’t they do this?
Think about it deeply!
