One of the most fascinating aspects of these chapters is the genealogies. They show us the direct line of testimony about God's promises, starting from Adam and extending to Abraham. Adam was still alive when Noah's father, Lamech, was born. This means that the story of Eden and God's promise in Genesis 3:14-15 about the conflict between the seed of the woman and the serpent was passed down firsthand.
