✨ Alimotu Pelewura: She Defied Colonial Rule with 👑 Queenpin Energy

We’re honoring Alimotu Pelewura, a fearless Lagos market leader who turned the fish stalls into freedom schools. She challenged colonial taxation, mobilized thousands of women, and made “market woman” a title of power—not insult. She organized her dignity into policy and demanded respect from colonizers and nationalist men.

I’ll be breaking down her herstory, her Queenpin energy, and the medicine she left behind for all of us—especially Black women building movements today.
