If you don't have an embroidery machine you can use the Cricut, I cut out the wording and pressed it on top my sewing project. 🎨💡

It’s such a fun reminder that you can still create gorgeous, personalized projects even without embroidery. Just a bit of creativity (and maybe a little caffeine 😆) goes a long way!

Let’s talk about Earl, Cat #2 of our trio also known as Curly Whirly, The Enforcer, and occasionally Sir Grumpy Pants depending on his mood..


Now, Earl isn’t what you’d call a cuddle bug. He’s more of a “I love you, but don’t touch me unless it’s on my terms” kind of cat. But he’s 100% my spirit animal. He follows me everywhere, talks to me constantly (usually with judgment), and every single night he curls up right next to me in his hammock like my little fuzzy shadow. 💕


The first hammock I made for him was… let’s just say… rustic. Made from cardboard and pure love. My mom hated it said it looked “messy” and “temporary.” (Excuse me, it was custom décor.)


So, attempt number two: we upgraded! Hubby built a proper wooden frame, I sewed the cutest little curtains, and Earl’s “bedside suite” was complete. He loved it. Slept there every night like a king. 👑
Fast forward a couple years, Mom comes to visit again. She takes one look at the original cardboard masterpiece (which by now was looking like it survived a hurricane) and declares, “That’s GOT to go!” So, round three begins.

Hubby makes another frame, Mom and I sew matching curtains to go with our master bedroom, total Martha Stewart vibes.


We proudly replace the old “peasant bed” with the new deluxe model.
And… Earl hated it.
Wouldn’t touch it. Gave me the full betrayal stare. 🐈‍⬛


So now… we have three cat beds in our bedroom because, obviously, His Majesty demanded that the original, tattered, peasant cardboard box be reinstated. 🙄


And if you think that’s the end of his quirks nope! Out of all our cats, Earl is the only one who loses his mind when I wash his bedding. The drama! The betrayal! The “how dare you wash away my essence” energy is strong with this one.


But at the end of the day, he’s my little sidekick, my spirit twin, and the house just wouldn’t feel right without his constant supervision (and complaints). ❤️🐾


Anyone else have a cat that insists on sleeping in their peasant bed no matter how many luxury upgrades you provide? 😂
