This channel's purpose is to teach and discuss African history and promote its presence in the education system and media such as games, movies, and TV shows, more specifically, Sub-Saharan African history. Africa has a rich and interesting history yet it is often ignored and neglected and pushed aside as irrelevant to the rest of the world's history. Most of the views and perceptions of the continent are largely negative due to centuries of racism as well as the modern state of Africa. I intend to change that by showing that Africa was once much more than it is today in the form of documentary style videos and animated mapping videos.

So I've been thinking about live streaming. Maybe once or twice a month. This time the primary focus will be watch parties where I react and/or critique various African history videos including my own. (Like old ones that I made mistakes on or lacked details). Like this post if you would tune in and dislike if I should just stick to video uploads only. Leave a comment if you have any other opinions.

Greetings denizens of The Empire. I hope you are all doing well and I wish the best for all of you during this holiday season. I know I haven't been active in the past 3 months but if you recall in my last post, I lost my job due to unfair circumstances. Fortunately I finally landed myself a new job, much better than my last. I can't thank you all enough for reaching out and supporting me whether it be monetarily or simply just checking up on me to see if I'm ok. I'm at a point where I'm finally working towards catching up on my finances and getting my funds back where they need to be. With all of that being said, my uploads should resume shortly as well. I don't usually like to do this and I can't get into too much detail for legal reasons but I just want to inform everyone that I was unfairly terminated from my job due to a false accusation. There was no evidence, no footage, no nothing yet they simply took the employee's word at face value and removed me on the spot. No discussion, no sit down, no hearing my side of the story, no suspension, no nothing. Just instantly escorted me off the premises. With that being said I'm currently out of work. I don't want to come off as a beggar but I appreciate any support that anyone is willing to give me in this situation. Every little bit helps. I'm considering starting a "YouTube Shorts" series where I allow viewers to ask a question about African history and I make a 30-60 second video answering that question. These short video requests will be uploaded via paid commission as a means of growing/funding The Empire From Nothing's future projects. With that being said, I'm curious who if anyone supports this idea or would commission a question.
