The new song "delves energetically into garage rock territory, as Vallentine’s jangly guitar licks and sneering vocals are paired with blistering guitar solos by Ryan Schmidt (who also recorded, mixed, and mastered the track in addition to playing bass on it) and Zac Anderson’s propulsive percussion. The song channels Arctic Monkeys with a dash of Queens Of The Stone Age thrown in for good measure."

The Darker Side of Being Human EP is available on streaming now!
This 3-song collection explores some of the themes that make this project what it is. It's built on past grief, shame, fear, and hopelessness from different times in my life.
But, while the songs are heavy at times, using those feelings to create something meaningful and reflect on who I want to be helped me survive and grow and I hope listening to these reminds you that you're not alone and that you get to make meaning out of your life story, even the hardest parts.
Don't forget to look at your "flaws" and missteps as opportunities for growth and love yourself through the tunnels and the shadows that always come to meet us. Your light can overcome anything. Never forget that.

At its core this project and music is about facing the darkness inside us and in the world around us and surviving. It’s about learning to heal and love ourselves despite our shadows and it’s about overcoming our worst days and reigning in the dark parts of ourselves so we can create our best selves and futures. I think of this one as “if Elliott Smith broke your heart and wrote a song about it”.
This song is a window into one of the last conversations I had with someone I felt deeply attached to in a way I’d never felt before. Someone I hurt and eventually had to cut ties with. It’s a window into a memory, one that comes with grief, shame, and more.
