About 2 weeks ago, I officially received my second strike from YouTube, for a video that was up for some time. As a result, I was blocked from editing my channel for that amount of time. Now that it has passed, I’m going sum up the situation:
- I can’t upload any more. If I get strike 3, it’s all gone.
- I was planning on using self-customised thumbnails. All of my thumbnails up to this point were just random images.
- I was planning on moving on to a second meme channel if this happens. But sadly, I have had it.
- I’m sick of the censorship YouTube plasters everywhere. I’m sick of spending hours hunting down half-decent memes, then spending more countless hours putting them together.
- I’m sick of putting in all that effort only to find out I barely got any views. I’m sick of seeing channels that do the exact same thing as me, but got 100 times more views than me because it’s titled “Offensive Memes that if ylyl”😞, or they milked a trend (such as the titanic submarine. I avoid doing stuff like that, or else the comp will age poorly).
I will soon upload a video explaining in more detail what’s happening/what’s happened. But, that will be this channel’s final video.
I promise I won’t delete the channel. I still want people to access my old comps. If for some reason my channel IS gone, that would be youtube giving a third strike for another random video and taking it down. I hope that doesn’t happen, but it might.
Really sorry I’m ditching memes, but I think it’s time.
Eh, after trying out the Shorts thing, it didn’t really gain much attention and honestly wasn’t fun (for me).
As another idea, over the next 2ish days, I will upload a couple of shorter videos back-to-back rather than a singular long video. We’ll see how that goes.

I was unable to upload for a week due to a strike I got from Offensive Discord Memes (taken down for “nudity” 🤷🤷🏿♂️🤷🏻) That video is officially cursed with being un-upload-able, but I’ll take SOME safe clips from it an put it in my next comp (which will come shortly).
Also, Shitposts from Discord also got recently taken down, despite lasting longer than Offensive Discord Memes. Again, the reason was for “harming animals”. Sigh. The most “animal abusive” clip I could find was of a fat cat being “stabbed” by a toy retractable knife (correct me if I’m wrong).
About a week ago, I submitted a request to YouTube thoroughly explaining my situation, and politely asking if they can restore the damage done. I still haven’t received any response (no surprises).
I’m going to be as careful and critical as possible for the next comp. If it gets taken down, I won’t be happy, and I’m already unhappy about the poorly-justified takedowns. And there’s a 50% chance it’ll give me strike 2.
The terrible news is if I get my 2nd strike, I will abandon this channel, so it doesn’t get a 3rd strike and shutdown. DON’T WORRY, I’ll create a backup in the meantime.

Offensive Discord Memes was taken down a THIRD time by YouTube. This time for “Hate Speech” (probably from the Lego Nazi meme at the end). I’m cutting the video down by a couple of minutes, and I’ll reupload. I have my fingers crossed it doesn’t get taken down for another idiotic reason and result in a strike.
I am really beginning to get SICK of this. Last night, YouTube removed offensive Discord Memes (I should have that solved by tonight), and they just removed Low Quality Bullcrap 3. The latter is due to “graphic videos promoting harm on animals” or something. Those who watched the video through, you tell me if you recall any animal abuse, because I don’t.
I appealed both of them, but so far my appeal success rate is 0%. Makes you wonder if the people at HQ are just flipping a coin and going “Oh, tails? Too bad, rejected lol”. I somehow keep landing on a tails.
I’m thinking of writing a complaint to YouTube, but that’s probably going to be as useful as a toy hammer. If I get one more takedown, it’ll probably result in a strike, and this channel is only 3 or 4 months old. And I BET there’s one more video YouTube is 5 minutes away from removing.
Remember, I make meme compilations because it’s a hobby. I just like memes. I have a month’s worth of content planned for August I’m excited to share with you wonderful people. I hope I don’t get shut down before then.
So far, YouTube’s bullsh!t censorship system is my mortal enemy, and is the only thing threatening the safety of my channel. If this channel gets deleted, count your losses that it’s because of the guidelines. CowOfTheSea and Meme Sheep are in a similar situation (though for the 🐑 I think its copyright).
By far the worst thing about this is that YouTube never specifies which sections are the problem. They do that for copyright, but they don’t for other infringements (for some f ing reason).
They leave you with a vague description of the problem, a deleted video with views and likes you’ll never get back and a mouth full of freshly-made crap.
Apart from that, there’s not much more I can do. I’ll pull out a suggestion list later, but for now, we all know YouTube likes crushing meme-lovers’ dreams.
