✨ The Temple Girl – Exploring India’s Sacred Soul ✨
Temple Girl is my journey into India’s sacred temples, rituals, and spiritual traditions. From Tirumala to Kamakhya, I uncover timeless stories and share them in simple, soulful English so every devotee whether in India or across the world can connect with Sanatana Dharma.
I’m Namratha Mohan, the creator behind Temple Girl. What began as a personal journey has grown into a global community of 1M+ followers. I travel across Bharat, to document ancient temples, rare traditions, and powerful spiritual practices that are rarely known beyond their regions.
On this channel, I dive deeper into temple histories, forgotten rituals, and cultural mysteries that shape India’s spiritual identity.
Subscribe and be part of this movement to rediscover India’s spiritual legacy.
Together, let’s bring the soul of Sanatana Dharma to the world!

Some stories don’t fit into sixty seconds.
So I’ve begun writing them as a book.
I’ve signed on with Penguin Random House India to work on a book called Vishnu.
It’s not a release.
It’s the beginning of a long process.
This book is about what stays
the rituals that don’t break,
the people who return,
and the quiet moments that shape us without explanation.
I’ll share more when it’s ready. #vishnu #book #templegirl #penguinindia

Some experiences can never be explained in words… they can only be felt.
Walking through the rains to Kottiyur Temple, a temple that opens just once a year, felt nothing short of magical.
The rain, the forest path, the silence, the devotion everything touched my soul in a way I can’t describe.

Yes, many of you have been asking if I visited the temple and I did! I visited the beautiful Ghanteshwari Temple near Sambalpur, and the peace there was truly next level. Surrounded by the calm of the Mahanadi and thousands of bells hung by devotees, it felt like every wish, prayer, and gratitude had its own story. The bells here are offered by people after their wishes are fulfilled making the whole place feel so full of hope and serenity. If you’re ever in Sambalpur, this peaceful gem is definitely worth a visit!

The Leaning Temple of Huma is believed to be the naturally tilted temple in India. Though it leans, its top remains straight, and the tilt has never changed over centuries. A hidden treasure in Sambalpur✨
