As winter comes around, so starts my repeated long and steep walks up to Great Links Tor to capture a sunrise photograph of this magnificent tor in the glorious light of sunrise. Imagine my joy when on first walk up this year I capture this image! But why am I a tiny bit disappointed?

Dartmoor Heather Collection 4 of 4. Sometimes the best photographs are the images you least expect to capture. I'd been wandering around the Haytor area looking for one final image for my heather collection and I was feeling bored and uninspired. I then did what every photographer should do, and that's turn around! The light lasted less than a minute, but it was enough to time to capture this scene. Dartmoor at its best.

Dartmoor Heather Collection 3 of 4. After seeing my photographs from Honeybag Tor over the last couple of days you might be tempted to go straight there, but to get there you must pass Chinkwell Tor, and it’s a location not be ignored. Especially during heather season!
