Quick Clarifications on Bambu Studio Color Mapping (And Something Exciting!)
Hey everyone! I’ve seen some great questions in the comments of the latest video about the color mapping feature in Bambu Studio, so let’s clear a few things up real quick:
👉 The Sync/Mapping Button vs. the Old Sync:
- The old sync just pulled in filament info from your printer.
- The new sync button adds the option to remap colors directly in the slicer without moving spools or repainting models. Total game changer.
👉 Mapping vs. Override:
- Override tells the slicer to ignore the colors in the file and just print with whatever is currently loaded in the AMS slots.
- Mapping lets you match specific colors in your file to specific AMS slots. There is no need to repaint or physically swap spools. Mapping keeps things more organized and accurate.
👉 Object Menu Color Selection:
- You can change colors part by part using the object menu.
- But the mapping tool works faster for whole-print changes and keeps everything cleanly synced with your AMS setup.
- If you’ve been frustrated by having to repaint your models or swap out your spools, this tool is going to save you so much time. It's already saved me tons of time.

Hey Everyone! Let’s Talk About Bambu Studio 2.0 – What’s Working and What’s Not?
So, I’ve been using the new Bambu Studio 2.0 slicer, and honestly, it’s been smooth sailing for me so far. But I’ve noticed that some of you are running into issues with the latest update. After hearing bits and pieces about problems here and there, it seems like this last update has caused headaches for quite a few users.
I’d love to hear from you! What issues are you experiencing with Bambu Studio 2.0?
Whether it’s crashes, print quality problems, AMS (Automatic Material System) bugs, or anything else, let me know in the comments below.
I’m planning to make a video addressing these issues and sharing any fixes or workarounds I can find.
Hey Everybody!
I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow night, I've decided to do an impromptu livestream on YouTube. I've got some new things I want to test out, and I've got a project I want to paint. Feel free to join me tomorrow night!
I'm excited to announce an upcoming livestream. You can print the model and paint along or just come to hang out and chat while I paint a Frankenstein Pumpkin!
I printed mine on my bamboo X-1 carbon.
Here are the specs.
- Layer height: 0.08mm
- Walls: 3 count
- Infill: 10%
- Adhesion: No Brim
- Top Layers: 7 count
- Bottom Layers: 5 count
- Supports: None
There are multiple styles of this model. I will be printing this model's broken parts to make it easier.
Now if you want to paint along here is what I will be doing before I start:
- Priming the model black
- The Paints you'll need: - Colors: Oranges, Browns, Greens, White, Yellows, Black and some metallic paints. - I'll be using various brushes from wide brushes, fine point brushes and dry brushes.
- I'll have the rest of my accessories like: distilled water (thinning paints), textured paint pallet and possibly some things to mask off with cause i might use an airbrush for one or two parts.
I'm really excited for this since this model was suggested my one of my patreons Denny.
Hey Everybody! Super excited to announce the release of my Airbrush PSI Range Finder!
It's designed for airbrush artists who want to focus more time on the art - not on finding “skim milk” paint consistency.
The Airbrush PSI Range Finder is a practical tool that will save you a ton of time and help you find the right paint consistency and PSI range for your air compressor.
