Our Channel is for OUR memories.
The only problem is, the year is 2020 and the world is in "lockdown" and is still rife with c-vid! But this is building up to be the best move we have ever made! Yes, 2020 may go down in the history books as one to forget, but for us, it's the year we decided to change our lives.
From preparing for the big move to Spain, settling in, setting up a new business, and living the Spanish lifestyle, it's all here.
Our journey, our travels, our sightseeing, our food, our drinks, our laughs, and quite possibly tears.
Mostly of joy.
Oh, and we have an amazing, beautiful Springer Spaniel who is daft as a brush and she is joining us on our big adventure! Stay tuned and make sure you subscribe to our channel. :)

WOW, this is one of the first shorts I did! The first places we stayed in Spain. This is why we started the channel, so we could look back and say, "Oh, that was fun at the end of our days." youtube.com/shorts/itLzjHF2LV...

Scottish Couple In Spain
The tradition of penitentes in Semana Santa dates back to around the Middle Ages (roughly the 14th–16th centuries). It became especially established during the time of the Spanish Inquisition, when public acts of penance and anonymity were strongly emphasised in religious practice.
So it’s hundreds of years old—well over 400–600 years, making it a deeply rooted part of Spanish history and tradition.
The pointed hoods worn by penitentes during Semana Santa are part of a centuries-old Spanish religious tradition. They’re designed to keep the wearer anonymous, symbolising humility, penance, and devotion—so the focus is on faith, not the individual.
While they can be surprising to people seeing them for the first time, they have no connection to modern interpretations elsewhere and are deeply rooted in Spain’s history and cultural identity.

Nerja has recorded an 8.7% decrease in crime rates during 2025, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of the Interior.
