y'all guessed right!!! next up is a cover of the link click s3 ending, "Time" :D here are some selfies from the day I spent shooting it! honestly it went really horribly, I didn't like the footage I got and my tripod got stolen(?) in the process but eh. it was a fun little self-shooting exercise and I'll make do with what I have, I hope you all love it anyway!!

HENLO long time no post!! i come crawling back to ask for your vote. for october i'm debating between doing a set of 4 short covers of kikuo songs, or 1 full-length cover of aishite aishite aishite specifically (which i've already done a short cover for). which would y'all prefer to see more :D

“But now, it is as if I have stepped out of his long shadow, to standen alone in the sun.“

🏹

Even after all these years, I still hold so many of the Octopath stories from the first game close to my heart. H’aanit’s begrudgingly loving story of found family and mentorship, told through her long journey of following in her master’s footsteps before finally emerging from his shadow and coming into her own, is one that has forever remained very, very dear to me. I reread all her travel and tavern banters while editing the photos from our shoot and this quote from her banter with Olberic after slaying the dragon brought me right back to the glowing, bittersweet warmth of that moment in the game. It’s truly one of those works that I wish I could experience for the first time all over again.

Also reminded me how much I loved H’aanit shipped with both Primrose and Ophilia LMFAAOOO I’m truly in my yuri era

We’re counting down to the Octopath Traveler 8th anniversary soon, on July 13th!!! Many, many more photos from our group shoot to come 🥹 Thank you Tim and Connie (IG @/coffeetonic.jpg) for this set, I’m excited to share even more soon!!!!

H’aanit is the first cosplay I’ve made basically from scratch since my high school years, and it was SO worth it to get to relive some of those early cosplay community vibes of a group of friends scraping together materials last minute to cosplay a niche favorite together. It’s a special feeling that’s hard to find in big ol 2026 tbh. I got kinda emotional looking at everyone in their cosplays standing amongst the redwoods while I had the woodlands OST playing in the back. Utterly magical 🥹

Excited to share photos from the shoot later when the Octopath 8 year anniversary rolls around in a few weeks!! Until then please take these phone photos o7
