Anyone remember my old band Soulera? Probably not. 😂
Well… after years of procrastinating and sitting on these mixes since 2021, I finally said fuck it and released the album.
Soulera is officially OUT NOW worldwide on all streaming platforms. 🎧🌎
This band started back around 2012, when we began recording with Jimmy McGivern at his studio, which he generously opened up to us at the time. Soulera eventually came to an end in 2018, and somewhere along the way this album got stuck in what felt like production purgatory, bad luck, setbacks, delays, and years of me wondering whether it was even worth finishing.
For the longest time, I kept asking myself why I should spend more time and money releasing music from a band that hasn't existed in years. The recordings and mixes were never 100% perfect in my head, and maybe some of these songs will sound like they're from another era now.
But honestly… who cares?
Maybe most of that was just me overthinking it. Maybe people will hear these songs and think they still rip. Either way, these tracks deserve a better home than collecting digital dust on my hard drive.
So here it is: Soulera, a 9-song album released exactly as it is.
No huge marketing campaign. No elaborate rollout. No music videos. Just an album that took way too damn long to finally see the light of day. 😂
Maybe I'll eventually make a lyric video or something for whichever song, or songs, somehow manage to get some listens. Lol.

I'm not expecting anything crazy to come from releasing this. More than anything, it just feels good knowing these songs are finally out in the world instead of sitting unfinished in the past.
Sometimes things don't work out the way you originally planned, and that's okay.

A short guitar cover of a section from The Odyssey by Symphony X! I saw them live last week and was blown away, so I couldn’t resist learning a snippet. The full song would take forever to master, this little piece will do for now! I'm no Michael Romeo that's for sure, but I did the best I could. lol
I was on the fence about doing an Ozzy cover after his passing… but after binging all things Sabbath and solo Ozzy, I couldn’t shake the pull. I decided to record a short vocal cover of Mama, I’m Coming Home, a song born from Ozzy’s realization that he wouldn’t be alive if he hadn’t gotten sober. It’s a powerful tribute to Sharon, who stood by him through the chaos.Rest in Peace Ozzy. A legend who changed rock and metal forever. 🤘🖤
