I have grown a few platforms from 0 to thousands in the past, but growing my own was very special.
A small yet meaningful achievement for me. This shows the trust of aspirants in guidance of the platform.
The recent success of Essay Manthan and Mulyankan Manthan batch says it all. ( 100+ aspirants in a paid batch , where few "BIG" institutes fail to get 10 🫢)
This morning, while commuting by metro to take my lectures , I noticed something unusual. Amidst the sea of sneakers and formal shoes, a young college student stood barefoot. Curious, I gently asked, “All okay?”
His reply left me reflecting for the rest of the journey. He smiled and said, “I keep fast for Lord Shiva and travel to college barefoot every Monday and Tuesday.”
In a world where most of us are constantly chasing comfort—air-conditioned rides, ergonomic chairs, express deliveries—it was striking to see someone his age embracing discipline and sacrifice so effortlessly.
For him, this wasn’t just about fasting. It was about commitment to values, consistency in practice, and strength of belief.
3 Lessons I Took Away from That Small Interaction:
1. Discipline doesn’t need a stage – True discipline is personal. It’s not about showing the world but about aligning with one’s inner compass.
2. Sacrifice builds resilience – Walking barefoot in a crowded metro isn’t easy. But often, small acts of sacrifice prepare us for bigger battles in life.
3. Youth still carries values forward – Contrary to the stereotype that today’s generation is distracted, here was a young student proving that values and faith can still coexist with modern education.
Also, a Broader Reflection:
We often think success comes only from big leaps: cracking an exam, getting promoted, launching a startup. But maybe, it also comes from these daily, quiet acts of discipline.
That student may not realize it, but he’s training himself in patience, perseverance, and consistency , qualities that will help him far beyond his academic journey.
It reminded me that leadership, character, and resilience are built not in conference halls or boardrooms, but in everyday choices, whether we keep our word, whether we stick to our commitments, and whether we have the strength to walk barefoot if needed.
The metro ride ended, but the thought stayed with me: Sometimes, life’s most profound lessons don’t come from books or podcasts, but from a short conversation with a stranger.
