Our mind is powerful, but too often we let it run on auto-pilot.
Family, friends, work, school, social media and society as a whole have been shaping our mind and our beliefs our whole lives, and they are still doing it. Some of these beliefs are helpful, but some aren't and can cause us to self-sabotage.
These beliefs can be:
I'm not smart enough to apply to that job/university/PhD program.
I'm not good enough to join that sports team/choir/pottery class/chess club etc.
I will never make more than xxx amount of money.
I will never be able to own my home.
I'm not attractive enough to go to the beach/the party/be on a dating app.
I don't deserve happy, loving and respectful relationships.
Our beliefs shape our reality and our lives. But the good news is that we can change them!
By listening to positive affirmations every day, we can challenge and change those self-sabotaging beliefs.
