'All Is Still' is out today. 🤍

Today I'm sharing two versions of this piece.

The official studio recording is now available on all streaming platforms, and here on YouTube you can also watch a live performance I filmed at the piano.

Although they're the same composition, they feel quite different to me. The studio version captures the piece as it was recorded, while the live performance has all of the little moments that naturally happen when I play. I never play it exactly the same way twice.

I hope this music gives you a few quiet moments in your day, wherever you're listening from.

For those of you who have been missing my long-form rain and nature recordings, I've started releasing them on Insight Timer, where you can listen for free with no ads or interruptions.

This channel actually began with my love of recording nature. I spent years experimenting with different rainfall recordings, searching for the sounds that best helped mask my own tinnitus and create a sense of calm.

As my channel has evolved, I've focused more on sharing my original music, field recording adventures, and behind-the-scenes videos. To keep moving in that direction and give my YouTube channel the best chance of qualifying for monetization in the future, I decided to remove the long-form rain recordings from here.

The good news is they're still available to enjoy for free on Insight Timer, including up to 10 hours of uninterrupted rain and nature sounds whenever you need a moment of peace.

Bergen 'vlog' as requested!

I got back from Norway on Tuesday, and have made a little compilation of footage I recorded when out there. I'm not sure I can really call it a true vlog, its mainly quiet with the nature sounds and the odd commentary from me as I explore new places to record sounds.

🌙 My new track, Moon Over The Bay, is out now!

This piece was inspired by the reflection of moon over a small boating bay. I wanted to capture the image of the ripples of water over the moons reflection- the stillness, and peace that comes with watching something so calming.
