Flora and Charles having a Conversation Under a Tree in the School Environment.
❤️ Charles: (shifts his school bag on his shoulder)
“ I don’t want you to think I’m joking or just playing around. I really like you.”
⚠️ Flora:
“I know, Charles. You’ve said it before.”
❤️ Charles:
“And that’s why I’m serious now. I want us to be together properly. I’ll take care of you in school, protect you, make sure nobody disturbs you. You won’t regret it, I promise.”
⚠️ Flora: (gentle but firm)
“I appreciate that you care, truly. But I’m not ready for dating.”
❤️ Charles: (leans in a little)
“But why? We’re already friends. Everyone knows I’m responsible. I won’t distract you. I’ll even help you read.”
⚠️ Flora:
“It’s not about whether you’re good or not. It’s about me knowing my priorities right now.”
❤️ Charles:
“So you’re saying no because of school?”
⚠️ Flora:
“Yes. School, growth and peace of mind. I don’t want anything that will put pressure on me or my future.”
❤️ Charles: (frowns his face slightly)
“But I can make things easier for you. You won’t be alone.”
⚠️ Flora:
“I’m not alone, Charles. I have Jesus, myself, my goals and people who care about me. I don’t need dating to feel safe or important.”
❤️ Charles: after a pause
“So there’s no space for me in your heart at all?”
⚠️ Flora:
“Not now. And I hope you can respect that.”
❤️ Charles: nods slowly
“I don’t fully understand, but… I hear you.”
⚠️ Flora: smiles kindly
“Thank you. That means a lot.”

Books before boys; because education gives you options love alone cannot.
🌹 This means that education equips a girl with independence, confidence and choices that emotions or relationships by themselves cannot provide.
🌹 Love is important, but it should complement preparation, not replace it.
