Its costly to follow Christ. You will lose everything but gain Christ. Whoever is not ready to lose everything cannot be a follower of Christ. Jesus says, "Whoever will lose His life for my sake will save it." Meaning that the world will hate you to an extent that they will pull the rag off your feet.
It could be the rag of relationships, finances, career, health or any other aspect of life. It is very costly! But be encouraged that as long as you are suffering because of your faith, God will restore, strengthen and establish you. You will gain more than you lost! Be encouraged today in JESUS name!

Fleshly beings cannot enjoy Spiritual goodies. The kingdom of God is Spirit and man is flesh by default. This means there has to be another transformation to allow man to take up a spiritual form which can enjoy the kingdom of God.
That's where Jesus comes in. Born as flesh so that he can absorb all the sins of man; crucified so as to die with those sins once and for all. Rose again so as to give you and me new life. Therefore all that is left is to believe that Jesus Christ who did all this is truly the Son of God and you will be saved!

However what is needed is to come to God and sincerely ask for forgiveness with the intention to truly turn away from our sins. Only then can God embrace us and give us the power to say no to sin.
