Last week, we received an email from Le Coin stating, "Once the two loabes we have are gone, which should be by the end of the week we have no plans to contunue the sale of foie gras at the restaurant."
In light of this commitment, we will be halting our protests of Le Coin.
We gave Le Coin one month to take foie gras off print and online menus.
We commend Jordan Melnikoff, owner of Le Coin, for taking a stand against extreme animal abuse and choosing to end foie gras sales. This decision reflects a growing awareness that the suffering of animals cannot be justified.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every activist who took a stand against the cruelty of foie gras at Le Coin, especially members of Force Against Oppression, who were protesting for over a year before Seattle Coalition Against Foie Gras stepped into the picture, as well as the Animal Activist Legal Defense Project, who helped us fight an injunction preventing us from protesting for over a month. Your courage, creativity, and relentless dedication made this victory possible.
I'm not sure if I agree with all the viewpoints expressed by the channel. I am an antinatalist, but not an efilist. Not sure if they're efilist or not.
I suggested the topic, "Suffering is objectively bad and almost all vegans should seek sterilization".
Check out the short film we made, "I can't breathe" released today.
It's about a chance encounter with a vegan activist that has a profound effect on the non-vegan.
Also, here's some pictures of outreach we've been doing. We've switched over from discussion only format to showing a 3 minute video of slaughterhouses and farms by We the Free. It's streamlined our outreach and we're reaching more people! One person said they'd go vegan yesterday!
Fery and Sepi's Catering and Takeout has signed our foie gras-free policy and removed foie gras from their online menu following a kind and respectful phone conversation. We’re deeply grateful for their thoughtful response and willingness to align their offerings with compassion.
Their decision shows real leadership in the Spokane food scene, and we hope others will follow their example.
Thanks to everyone following the channel! I'm currently brainstorming some new ideas and should have more videos coming your way soon—stay tuned.
We received an email yesterday from an attorney for Gander and Ryegrass stating, "I confirm that Gander and Ryegrass is not re-ordering foie gras, having removed it from its menu early last week, and will not serve foie gras once the current in-house supply is gone. A sign is being prepared for the front window to this effect."
While we believe foie gras should be abolished immediately due to its inherent cruelty, we recognize this policy as a meaningful step in the right direction. In light of this commitment, we will be halting our protests of Gander and Ryegrass.
We commend Peter Froese, owner of Gander and Ryegrass, for taking a stand against extreme animal abuse and choosing to end foie gras sales in short order. This decision reflects a growing awareness that the suffering of animals cannot be justified.

Sunset Farms Sanctuary in Arkansas urgently needs your help. I've had the privilege of volunteering there, and I can tell you firsthand that Helen and Brian, the caretakers, are incredible people who provide loving care to the animals. Sunset Farms is the only disabled farm animal sanctuary in Arkansas - a truly special place.
Recently, a severe storm caused a tree to fall on the barn. While trying to remove it with a chainsaw, Brian fell from the barn and broke his leg. His job as a truck driver was the main source of income keeping the sanctuary running - and now he can’t work.
The sanctuary is facing a real crisis. Please consider donating anything you can to help them get through this difficult time and keep caring for the animals. Every dollar counts!

Francaise and other restaurants under Eat Good Group LLC have adopted a foie gras free policy after a month of sustained protests!
We commend Adam Hegsted, owner of Eat Good Group LLC, for making the reasonable and compassionate decision to take foie gras off the menu.
Thanks to everyone who called in and supported our protests!
Pressure campaigns are effective - try organizing or joining one in your area!
