This Missouri farm has raised Arabian horses, Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats and a few different chickens, but in 2018 we got our first American Bresse chicks and never looked back! We've found them to be very friendly, egg laying machines that sport a great taste and table weight averaging 4-5 pounds in the freezer. Now they've become the only chicken on this farm and we're doing our best to meet the French SOP. We're absolutely crazy about the breed and love promoting it! This year we have added a couple varieties of geese to our farm to help protect them and we have to admit we're having a lot of fun with them as well. One of our long time favorite YouTube channels is Bobblehead Homestead. If you're not familiar with Jeff's channel he raises a variety of chickens in Arkansas including Copper Maran, Whiting True Blue and Easter Egger's... and he has a great program going on too! He also has a couple of pet cats. Not just cats, but his best friends through thick and thin. Grumpy, Fi Fi and up until the following video Bob! In fact it's safe to say Bob got the most footage. Sadly he lost Bob during the Arctic blast experienced over the Midwest. It was just a freak thing. RIPH Bob!
