We finally got back the pictures from Mark Alan’s FIRST roll of film that he took on his dad’s almost 60 year old camera. We were really nervous how they would turn out (or if the camera would even work) and we are stoked! Here are a few of our favs and we have more to come! We just took two more rolls at Epic Universe and we also are taking some while on our vacation in Destin this week. Mark Alan is loving his new hobby!

Tomorrow is going to be EPIC!! 💫🤭

We’re headed to EPIC UNIVERSE tomorrow!!! We are not part of the media event, but we do have a really wonderful Team Member friend who invited us! To say we are excited is an understatement 😅

They DID change the rules about photo and video and we are stoked that we WILL be able to take some footage while we are there! TBD on what kind of content we will be able to post (we never want to put our friend’s job in jeopardy) but we will absolutely be sharing what we can!

Burnout is REAL. I absolutely love making videos for YouTube and content for social media and writing blog posts and all the things that go into being a content creator. However, when you are in a sea of a pretty saturated market where everyone is trying to do the same thing, it can be so easy to get caught up on the numbers and get overwhelmed by trying to keep up.

I've been feeling this alot with our YouTube videos lately. I want to bring something fresh to the table and I feel like we do a pretty good job with the stuff we do, but again, it's SO hard when you feel like your stuff should be performing a certain way when it doesn't. I don't mean this as a post to complain - I appreciate every single one of you that watch and support our channel and honestly if we didn't have you, we wouldn't be doing this! But I think the stressful things become even more stressful as we're in a phase of life that just isn't super easy.

YES! We are living our dream and I am so grateful that we get to go to the parks as often as we do, but as we've mentioned in some of our recent videos, financially we aren't doing so hot and I've been blessed to not really be in this situation up until now, but BOY it is HARD right now.

I think more than anything it's just that feeling of being stuck that I know all of us experience at one time or another. I know it's a phase of life and we'll get past it, but I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you for being there for us! The friendships we've made, the community we've built, we are incredibly grateful for! Some of our very best and closest friends we found through this channel right here!

I've generally been a pretty positive person and I want to get back to that place! I think it's time to start focusing back on why we started doing this in the first place and creating content that we LOVE. I have no idea what that looks like, it may mean fewer videos (so that we can focus on quality), it may mean totally switching up our style, we are still learning and growing and figuring that out, but whatever it looks like, we are taking you with us and hope you stick around!

All of that being said. I know I'm always asking, but what do you love about 'Kayla and Mark Alan'? What are the things we do that stand out to you? How would you like to be able to go deeper with us? We really do value your opinion and thank you thank you thank you again for being a part of our little internet fam! 💛
