Under UAW Vice President Laura Dickerson, the UAW-Ford Joint Trusts represent over 57,000 production workers, skilled tradespeople, engineers, and salaried employees at Ford, ACH, and 1,900 members at Severstal North America (formerly Rouge Steel). Dickerson also serves as the co-director of the UAW-Ford Joint Trusts Center, which oversees joint initiatives by the union and company that operate at both national and local levels. These initiatives focus on common issues such as product quality, education and training, employee involvement, team structures, work skills redesign, health and safety, ergonomics, employee assistance, apprenticeships, and labor-management studies.
