✨ New Tutorial Alert! ✨
The Mystic Gem Granny Square is here! 🎉

This colourful square builds off my Mystic Harmony design, adding a bold diamond centre and a stained-glass window effect that’s just so fun to play with. If you love mixing shades and exploring how colour placement changes the whole vibe—this one’s for you. 💎🎨

In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to build on the original square, add the corners, and finish off with the border rounds. It’s like turning colour into crochet art!

💜 Watch now and let me know what colours you would use:

UPDATE: IT iS HERE! https://youtu.be/NuDA8DuEU_Q Come on over and crochet with me!

Tomorrow’s the big day! I’ve been working away behind the scenes, making sure I’ve got all the close-ups and slow, step-by-step walkthroughs ready for you—because this one’s the biggie… the final step in our Patchwork Medley Blanket!

I’m calling it my Ultimate JAYGO Tutorial because honestly, it’s packed with everything you need to join any of my squares using this method. It’s a bit more involved than a regular square tutorial (lots more to show and explain!), but I really wanted to make sure I covered all the things.

I’ve got that mix of “yay it’s done!” and “aww it’s over!” feelings right now—but mostly, I’m super excited for you to start putting your squares together. Can’t wait for you to see it!

Watch for it tomorrow morning!
Catch you then,
Jane

Hello my crochet gang! The next video—where we’ll be joining the squares and adding the border—is on its way. It’ll be out a few days later than planned, as my grown-up kids are visiting for the weekend (they were not able to make it for Easter), so I’m stepping away from the office for some special family time. Nothing better than hanging out with your adult kids!

Look out for the new video early next week! In the meantime, you can enjoy the full square playlist right here: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

And yes—that’s my sweet kitty helping out with the blanket layout. He never misses a chance to get involved!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you next week!

Hi Guys, I am excited to tell you the final Square Will be up tomorrow. It is a nice easy one, a remake of my Classic Gran which is really a simple classic granny square with a few tweeks to make it work with the other squares. I have had a lot of you asking and yes, the next tutorial will be the one we put them all together. I will share a walk through of my Join As You Go method, and discuss colour placement ideas, blanket sizes, number of squares and I will finish it with a border. I'm excited to share this with you. For now you can catch up with the other 6 squares on the playlist I made for this series here www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

I will see you all tomorrow morning for Square #7 ENJOY! Jane

Ok guys, we are half way through the Patchwork Medley and I am thinking about which project to do next. So I thought I'd throw a few pics of ideas I am working on out there and see what you would like to work on with me. These pics are just my first samples of these ideas, so I am trying to decide which one to lean into. I will have patterns for all of these up in my shop at some point
So tell me if you would like to see any of these done up as Video tutorial series. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I have had a few question on how I chose my colour sequences. Honestly I just randomly picked colours, I find it more relaxing this way to just pick up the next colour that feels right and add it in. Having said that I do keep my squares close by and try not to duplicate anything. I did do the last 2 rounds of half the squares in the blue and the other half in the beige, which you can see in this pic.

I alternated the squares as I joined them so the beige ( almond ) appears to give a little frame that pops around every second square. I joined with the blue, so that plays on the " negative space " and makes those squares appear to recede. So this play with contrast adds visual interest to the piece. A bit of Art theory there for ya!

Next Tutorial will be up this weekend - We will be doing the Mandala Square with a full and step by step walk through in real time, so you can crochet right along with me.

Ok Gang! The Patchwork Medley Blanket Full PDF is Officially up in my Shop. It is a 34 page PDF and includes all 7 squares, 6 reworked, and the new Fusion Square, symbol charts for all squares, colour way charts, assembly diagrams, extra images... fully packed with info.

You can find it in my Web Shop Here: www.jspcreate.com/
and on my Ravelry Here: www.ravelry.com/stores/jane-snedden-peever-designs

I did already make a minor correction with the total yarn needed for the 30 square blanket being 1000g, the individual amounts for each colour were correct, but my math mind went into "park" mode and I didn't add them up correctly lol!! Everyone who has already purchased the pattern has been emailed. A minor change, but still important info.

I will be continuing with the square tutorials shortly, which I like to load up with tips and insights and I will finish up with a tutorial on joining the squares and adding a border. If you like this colour way, all the info for the yarn I used is in the PDF as well as yarn substitutions as well.

Thanks again for all your support, I really love making these patterns and it means alot to me that you enjoy making them! When you buy the PDF versions, it helps support me to make more fun tutorials and patterns.

Take care and see you all soon, Jane ❤
