I am a farrier and author from Newmarket, England, and I have been working in hoof-care for around 50 years now. I have a PhD in Equine Physiology and Biomechanics, and I am a Past Master and Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Farriers. I have lectured and demonstrated hoof-care on six continents and published several textbooks on the topic. I am currently still lecturing and working on more books, as well as creating webinars, sharing on social media, and hosting my podcast 'The Hoof of the Horse'.
Subscribe for videos focused on exploring horse hoof care, sharing expertise and spreading knowledge in the equine world.

This is a great poem by one of the speakers at my webinar, Matt Jones, where he gives 'The Farrier's Reply' to Seamus Heaney’s 'The Forge'.
Matt has been through an ordeal lately having treatment for cancer. If you can help contribute anything to support him during this time, please do so here: ko-fi.com/sunforge
