Letters From Wes

Senator Bernie Moreno has repeatedly assured Ohioans that he opposed cutting Medicaid benefits.

But when the moment came to take a stand, he folded like a cheap suit.

This week, I’m writing him a letter to express my disappointment - and to explain why this kind of misrepresentation from public officials is corrosive to our democracy.

Tune in next Tuesdays at 12:00 a.m. for my next letter to Senator Moreno.

Section 70302 is single-paragraph provision tucked away in the middle of the "Big Beautiful Bill" that just passed the House and is currently before the Senate. Put simply, it takes away the court's ability to enforce contempt rulings against high-ranking government officials, including the president.

I recently wrote a letter to my Senator about this provision that you can see here: https://youtu.be/tqkO9V01_lQ

Please consider contacting your Senators to ask them to oppose section 70302.
