This began as a spiritual channel but that is only a small part of who I am. After an extended period of time offline getting back in touch with myself, I've decided to expand this personal playground and include a wide range of videos. I cannot commit to just one theme because I am not one-dimensional. This amazing thing we call life is vast and beautiful, and I'm embracing as much of it as I can, one enchanted moment at a time with no specific destination in mind. I hope you are doing the same!

The Emperor, when well balanced, is strategic and highly organized. He exercises authority, protects and defends loved ones, and establishes laws, rules and guidelines to maintain stability across the land. He knows how to delegate and even motivate. He is great at planning, offering guidance, giving advice and managing projects.
He expects everyone to contribute equally and is open to listening to suggestions from others. As a true leader instead of a tyrant, he leads by example not by force. He is right there beside his people as they work towards a goal - together. He is not there simply to be glorified or worshipped or placed on a pedestal. He is there to pass along his wisdom, to educate, to inspire and to strengthen. He recognizes that if there is to be peace in his kingdom there must be peace amongst his people, therefore he leads with a firm but fair hand, creates calm instead of chaos and makes sure everyone is appreciated and rewarded. He is a unifying force not a divisive one.
When we find ourselves in a leadership role, we should adopt the self-confident and sage energy of The Emperor who is well balanced, not the one whose ego rules, and maintain control with gentle persuasion and beneficial experience. After all, you win more people over with encouragement than with aggression.

Oh, look, it's the death card! Said no one ever with enthusiasm. Well, maybe not no one. There are some of us - like me - who actually like this card and even feel relatively calm, and dare I say, relieved when it shows up. Although it can be alarming, it brings with it an important message. It's a reminder that nothing lasts forever, that change is inevitable and that everything has an expiration date. It can be a little harsh when it shows up because it doesn’t have any concern about your feelings about the matter. It is simply there to do a job, which is to make sure that transformation takes place and whatever needs to expire expires, and it will do it with or without your approval or cooperation. When something is on its last legs (relationship, situation, belief, job), the ending is inevitable. Unlike The Tower card which brings about sudden and unexpected change, most of the time Death usually doesn't come as a surprise. We often know that something in our life is fading away, and we know we shouldn't cling to it but we do so anyway because change can be unsettling. But if we're going to be honest, when it does happen, there is a sense of relief. It's the leading up to it that's far more frightening than the actual ending. As Barbara Moore writes in the guidebook about this tarot card "It might help to approach the experience with the pure faith of a child, trusting in the natural order of things and knowing that the sun will rise and erase the light and in the end everything will be okay." Amen to that.

I've never been a fan of The World card but the creator of this deck knocks it out of the park with this one. The artwork is stunning and I now have at least one favourite of this major arcana. The World card can be defined by words like accomplishment, completion and success - just to name a few. It is a journey's end, a goal that has been achieved, fulfillment, wholeness and totality. As a majors card, it typically represents the ending of big cycles in life but I don't limit it to that. I apply it to all kinds of completions - big or small - because each goal that is reached is worthy of recognition. My reasoning for this is that some of them require strength and energy that we can barely muster up. For example, if you are dealing with grief or depression, just getting through the day and tackling the responsibilities associated with it are an achievement. This card is perfectly fitting to the type of week I've had where I wrapped up quite a few projects and goals I'd been working on for quite some time no matter how up or down I was feeling. I am delighted - and relieved. How has your week been? 🐝

Imagine waking up to this? Chances are none of us ever will. But these are the types of monsters our mind conjures up when we take our concerns to bed with us. They turn into nightmares that terrify and shake us awake. And what does all that accomplish? Absolutely nothing. Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives us something to do but gets us nowhere. It does not solve a single problem and never will, especially when we're stressing ourselves out over things that haven't happened or we're imagining dreadful outcomes without any proof of them ever occurring. It's best to share our concerns with a trusted source during the day, so these monsters don't follow us into the night. And to bear in mind that we should focus on what is within our control to keep negative thoughts from spinning out of control and disrupting our sleep.

All tangled up and nowhere to go! This little kitty has found herself in quite a predicament and she won't be going anywhere anytime soon. It's an unpleasant situation, no doubt about it, but it is only temporary. Eventually she'll free herself (or someone will) and she can go on her merry way. In the meantime, the worst thing she can do is panic, which will make things worse. She doesn't seem unhappy or stressed, so I'm guessing she's already figured that out. Her advice for a situation like this is this: "Don't put up resistance; you'll only worsen the position you find yourself in. Surrender to what's happening and wait until a solution transpires. No one likes to be stuck in a rut but sometimes we simply need to pause and reflect on our present circumstances and think about how to untangle ourselves from it." Sage feline advice, no? That's why cats rule the earth. 🐈

When it comes to The Hermit card, this is one of my favourite depictions of it. It may look entertaining and even silly, but there's a lot to be gained by it. Despite the chaos going on outside, this woman is calm, happy and very relaxed. She has retreated from the apocalyptic world, boarded up her door and barricaded herself inside her home. She's got a book in hand, a box of (what I believe is) chocolates within reach and a cozy couch to laze around on. She's well aware that zombies are banging on the door but she also knows that she doesn't have to answer. Retreating and enjoying some time to herself, away from all the pandemonium, is her top priority right now. The undead will be there tomorrow, the next day, weeks or months later, and possibly for several years, and she'll have to deal with that eventually. But for now, she can simply indulge in simple pleasures and tend to her well-being. When she feels ready, she'll rejoin the apocalyptic mayhem and tackle the zombies. Like this woman, when we're feeling overwhelmed, our resources are depleted and the zombies in our life are too much to handle, it's time to press the pause button, withdraw and enjoy a much-needed break. Everything else can wait until we're good and ready to deal with it. See, even a deck about zombies has valuable wisdom to share.

I don't know what kitty is working on but I'd wager a bet that it has something to do with food. What I do know is that this is not a passive card. It’s energetic and full of potential. And just like the kitty who is going to go and get what it wants instead of sitting around and waiting for it to magically appear, if we want something, we have to take deliberate action. Nothing ever changes or transpires if we don’t put a little effort into making it so. Therefore, let's ask ourselves what we'd like to manifest and what talents we can put to use to make that happen. The Magician card urges us to take the idea we have and turn it into something tangible. It encourages us to use the tools at our disposal, proceed with confidence and have faith in our abilities. There is nothing we set our mind to that we can’t accomplish (within reason, of course). All we need to do is take that first step and put things in motion. Once we get going, the universe will conspire with us to make it happen. So...what will you conjure up today? 🔮

When I saw these two cards show up together this phrase immediately popped into my head: "Don't bite off more than you can chew." Now, I'm not sure the kitty on the right will heed those words of wisdom as it sneaks around doing what it shouldn't be doing but maybe the rest of us will. Starting off the week with the words moderation, discipline and balance in mind may turn out to benefit us as the days go by. And unlike the kitty who has gained an advantage over its rivals by sneaking around or cheating, we may want to bear in mind that there's plenty to go around for everyone and taking more than we need is not being successful, it's being greedy. 🐈
