I’m Rakia, a senior freelance Software Engineer and a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Angular. I'm also a speaker and a content creator. I spend my days diving deep into the software engineering intricacies and producing new pieces to share online. But what really drives me is the thrill of facing new challenges and continuously learning.
When I’m not coding, you can find me exploring the fascinating world of personal development and leadership, trying to understand the inner workings of human beings.
I’ve been on this journey for a while now, and I’ve had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects. My channel would give you a glimpse into my world as a tech-savvy and curious-minded individual.
See you in my next video 😊

What's the Real Impact of System Complexity on Human Performance and Well-being?
What's the Real Impact of System Complexity on Human Performance and Well-being?
The alarm screams. Your eyes crack open, and the first thought is like “Ugh, standup.”
You drag yourself to the kitchen, brew the strongest coffee known to humankind, but somehow, it lands like weak tea. Your brain feels like it’s running on dial-up in a fiber-optic world — sluggish, buffering, refusing to connect.
You sit down at your desk, stare at the backlog, the Jira board, the tangled mess of code you were wrestling with yesterday. You know you need to dive in.
You know what needs doing, sort of. But engaging the mental gears feels like trying to push-start a battleship. There’s this invisible wall of resistance, a thick fog of “can’t even.”
So, what do you do?
You procrastinate… productively?
You open a tech newsletter, read an insightful blog post , maybe even watch a conference talk on a cool new framework unrelated to your legacy nightmare.
Then, you glance at the clock. An hour, maybe two, has evaporated. The standup looms closer, anxiety prickling at the back of your neck. What will you say? “Made progress reading about quantum computing?” Probably not. The fog is now thicker, laced with guilt and pressure.
Does this sound familiar?
If you’re nodding along, maybe even wincing slightly, you’re not alone. And, crucially, you’re probably not broken. What you’re experiencing is often a direct, ...

Kubernetes 1.33: Is It the “Color of Magic” or Just More YAML?
Another Kubernetes version just landed, marking the first minor release of the year. The Kubernetes team, perhaps after binge-watching some fantasy flicks or reading Terry Pratchett, dubbed this release “Octarine: The Color of Magic.”
Catchy, right? Makes you wonder if your pods will suddenly start levitating or if kubectl apply comes with sparkle effects.
While I appreciate the flair, my job (and yours, probably) involves dealing with the reality under the glitter:
Is K8s 1.33 actual magic? Does it fundamentally change the game? Or just a familiar shade of infrastructure grey?

Okay, let’s talk macOS.
For years, developers have gravitated towards this environment; the reasons are clear. It’s the potent blend of:
- a rock-solid Unix foundation,
- a polished user experience that gets out of your way, tight hardware integration,
- and access to a thriving ecosystem of development tools 🧑🏻💻
But wielding this elegant tool effectively requires more than just knowing how to open a web browser.
So, let’s ditch the surface-level familiarity and dive into the macOS fundamentals that truly matter for software engineers today.

Alright, let’s talk.
There’s one keyword, just four letters long, that consistently trips up even seasoned developers: this.
Get it wrong, and you’re not just looking at a console error during development.
You’re potentially deploying silent time bombs that detonate in production, leaving you scrambling while users flood support channels.
