🏛 The Leaning Tower of Pisa: A Happy Accident 🇮🇹
It’s hard to imagine The Leaning Tower of Pisa without its famous tilt, but it wasn’t always meant to be that way!
Construction started in 1173, and the tower began to lean even before it was finished due to soft ground beneath its foundation. Engineers have tried multiple times to fix the tilt, but it still stands with its characteristic slant, leaning about 4 degrees to one side.
Despite its wobbly reputation, the tower has withstood earthquakes and centuries of use. Climbing to the top rewards you with a stunning view of the city of Pisa!

The Golden Gate Bridge is more than just a way to cross San Francisco Bay – it’s a piece of history and an engineering marvel.
Opened in 1937, this suspension bridge spans 1.7 miles and was once the longest in the world. Its vibrant 'International Orange' color was originally chosen to stand out in the fog that often blankets the bay.
Walking or biking across the bridge offers incredible views of the bay, Alcatraz Island, and the city skyline.
Fun fact: the cables are so thick that they could circle the Earth three times!
