Today I’m celebrating the incredible women who surround me every day. 💛🩷

Sewcialising simply wouldn’t be what it is without my amazing female-led team. They each bring their own talents, creativity and strengths, and together they help turn my ideas and dreams into something real. I’m endlessly grateful for their support, hard work and the energy they bring to everything we do at Sewcialising.

I’m also so thankful for the wonderful women in my life - my brilliant female friends, my lovely sister, and my mum. She was my biggest supporter and played such a huge part in shaping the woman I am today. I carry her memories with me in everything I do.

And of course, to all the incredible women who support Sewcialising every day - those who shop with us, come along to our workshops, and share their creativity and passion with our community. You are such an important part of what makes this space so special.

Here’s to lifting each other up, celebrating each other’s successes, and continuing to create, support and inspire.

🥁 Drum roll please…!!It’s in the bag – our first ever award! 🏆✨
Sewcialising has officially won ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the York Press Business Awards 2025!! Whoop whoop!! I was so shocked - I honestly didn’t expect to win, and I’m still floating. It was a great evening, and taking home the award meant the absolute world to me and my wonderful team. My speech was a little unprepared & emotional.. so here’s a proper thank you. 💛 A big thank you to @york.press for shortlisting us, for recognising the heart, graft and community behind Sewcialising, and for hosting such a brilliant event. It was lovely just to be nominated, winning was the cherry on top! Also thank you to the brilliant caricaturist @djbillustration
To our lovely customers – thank you for believing in what we do, for cheering me on from day one in the midst of a pandemic, and for choosing Sewcialising again and again since. You’re the reason this little dream became a real community.
To my wonderful team – you make every day brighter, every challenge lighter, and every idea possible.
