Piano and the sound of a flowing stream, recorded right by the water.

From a distance, a river can sound broad and almost horizontal — a soft “shhh” or “whoosh.” Up close, I can hear countless small details: little splashes, bubbles, and ripples, creating a much more dimensional soundscape.

水際で収録したせせらぎの音とピアノ。

川の音は遠くからだとサーとかザーとか太くて水平的に聴こえるけど、近くではピチャピチャとかコポコポとか細かく立体的。

瑞々しくキラキラしたゆらぐ音は数年前に猿島に向かう船から見た海の水面を思い出す。
遠い過去へ遡るような風景。
流れていく景色を眺めながら、光と波がゆっくりと重なっていくような作品となった。

The forest on Mt. Rokko around 6 a.m.
Even in summer, the morning sunlight filtering through the trees feels soft.
Birds and insects fill the forest with sound.
The voices of bell crickets and higurashi cicadas are becoming more prominent than the cicadas, and I can feel the season slowly beginning to change.

朝6時頃の六甲山の森。
夏でも朝の木漏れ日は柔らかい。
鳥や虫たちは賑やか。
蝉よりスズムシやヒグラシの声が大きくなって季節が少しずつ変わっていくのを感じます。
