🎄 The Birth and the Mystical: The Story of Christmas

On Christmas Day, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, but the symbolism behind this date is much older.

The winter solstice marks a time of rebirth and renewal, celebrated in many ancient cultures.

In Egyptian mythology, the birth of the god Horus is celebrated during the solstice, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness.

Christmas, therefore, is a celebration of spiritual renewal and the return of light to the world.

🦃 Gratitude and Abundance: The Mystical Connection

Today, on Thanksgiving Day, we celebrate abundance and the blessings of life.

But gratitude is not just a modern concept. In Ancient Egypt, the god Osiris was associated with abundance and harvest, being honored for bringing prosperity to the land.

In many esoteric traditions, gratitude is seen as a key to spiritual growth and the manifestation of our deepest desires.

By giving thanks, we connect with the universal flow of energy.

🦅 Veterans and Warriors: A Sacred Journey
On Veterans Day, we honor all those who served in the armed forces.

The figure of the warrior is revered in many ancient cultures, not only for strength but for the courage to defend their people and ideals.

In Christianity, the figure of the soldier is associated with the Holy Spirit as a spiritual warrior. In Norse mythology, warriors who died with honor were taken to Valhalla, where they could fight eternally alongside the gods.

The veteran, therefore, represents both sacrifice and honor.

🌱 VEGANISM AND THE ETHICS OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS 🧘

Today, November 1st, is World Vegan Day. Beyond the modern debate, this date invites us to a philosophical reflection that dates back thousands of years:

Greek Mythology/Philosophy: The famous mathematician Pythagoras and his followers practiced a meatless diet, believing in reincarnation and the purification of the soul. Food was seen as a karmic connection.

Eastern Traditions: Vegetarianism has been part of deep religious and philosophical systems (such as Buddhism and Hinduism) for millennia, focused on the principle of Ahimsa (non-violence).

The big question that remains: What is the karmic price of our food choices? Does spiritual detachment necessarily require dietary detachment, as the ancients argued?

🏙️ THE CITY: A MYTHOLOGICAL PARADOX 🏛️

Today, October 31st, is World Cities Day, and for our channel, this raises an ancient question: Where does true virtue reside?

Throughout History and Mythology, the city (the Greek Polis, the Roman Urbs) is the birthplace of progress, but also the source of corruption:

History: Cities like Babylon and Rome are symbols of power and lust, whose downfalls serve as prophecies about human arrogance.

Hagiography: Meanwhile, great Hermits, like St. John of Rila (link here: https://youtu.be/1mncXDZ9_rA), saw the city as a source of temptation and sought holiness in total isolation.

Cities are the cradle of civilization, but also the stage for their greatest tragedies (as seen in prophecies about Babylon and the ruins of empires like Rome). Does urban life distance us from nature? Where does true virtue reside: in the Greek Polis (the city) or in the isolation of the Hermit?

The question is: In which arena is it harder to achieve wisdom and ethics: in the solitude of the mountain or in the bustling center of the metropolis?

⛵ Christopher Columbus and the Mystery of the Unknown Land

Today, we celebrate Christopher Columbus and his arrival to the "New World."

However, for many ancient cultures, the concept of "exploration" and "discovery" was deeply tied to mystery and the occult. In Ancient Egypt, the god Thoth, associated with wisdom and hidden knowledge, was often invoked by those seeking new lands and horizons.

Columbus's journey echoes this human desire to explore the unknown and seek wisdom from beyond.

📅 October 11th – International Day of the Girl: Mythological Heroines!
Today, we celebrate the empowerment of girls, highlighting strength and independence. In Greek mythology, a great example of this is Atalanta!
She was an Arcadian heroine and a favorite hunter of Artemis who completely defied traditional gender roles. Exposed at birth simply for being a girl, she survived, joined the Argonauts, and would only marry the man who could beat her in a footrace—and she killed the losers. As a symbol of empowerment, she shattered barriers in sports and hunting, proving equality.

Would you be brave enough to risk a race to win Atalanta's heart, even if it cost you your life?

World Mental Health Day: Demons, Possession, and Ancient Confusion! 🧠✨
Today, we celebrate Mental Health Day, a vital topic in modern times. But back in antiquity, mental disorders were often viewed as—and sometimes confused with—demonic possession. Often, "madness" was treated by exorcists using magical rituals, charms, and protective circles. These occult rites mixed magic with medicine, a concept that echoes in esotericism: possession as a deep spiritual imbalance.

Expanding into Biblical occultism, think of Legion, the collective demon from the New Testament (Mark 5:1–20). Jesus expels a "legion" of evil spirits from a tormented man who was living among the tombs, self-harming, and displaying superhuman strength. His symptoms—multiple voices, isolation, and self-destructive behavior—are often conflated with modern mental health conditions like schizophrenia or dissociation, blending the spiritual and the psychological in ancient legends. In fact, scholars note striking similarities to "multiple personality disorder" or schizophrenic symptoms, highlighting how the Bible may describe mental illnesses through a demonic lens.

We actually have a video about Legion on the channel—check it out here: https://youtu.be/NBQeKsd7YOk

Do you believe mental illness can have anything to do with demons, or is it all purely psychological?

World Teachers' Day: Chiron, the Master of Heroes in Greek Mythology!
Today, we celebrate teachers—the transmitters of eternal wisdom. In Greek mythology, Chiron, the wisest and most just of the centaurs, educated legendary heroes like Achilles, Jason, Heracles (Hercules), and Asclepius. He taught them everything: medicine, music, hunting, prophecy, and ethics. Unlike the savage centaurs, he was the son of Cronus and Philyra, and he was adopted by Apollo, who passed divine knowledge on to him.

In esotericism, Chiron symbolizes the "wounded healer"—immortal yet suffering—representing mentors who guide others through compassion and deep personal experience. For a historical parallel, think of Aristotle tutoring Alexander the Great, shaping a future king with logic, rhetoric, and philosophy.

In ancient civilizations, masters like these were the portals to the occult and the divine. Which mythological mentor inspires you the most? Share in the comments! Like and subscribe for more.
