Weekend POV: It's the seemingly ordinary moments that knit our lives together. The being present to notice them. The looking up rather than the looking down. It's being available for another human in what is a simple offering of time and presence. Creating space for the whatever may happen. And those 'whatever may happens' are not necessarily scroll stoppers. But they are little prompts to a life well lived. Oh, the stories that this simple photo can tell. The home. The people. This littles right now. The Sunday morning. The analog moment and it's importance. So many 'tellings' right here. And that's what makes an ordinary moment not so ordinary. So now it's your turn: find a moment from your past few days. Ponder it. Write about it. Be thankful for it. And may your week be found in many more ordinary moments.
Oh-kay! Now that you have been diving into dying with coffee, I'm curious, which paper would you reach for?
Mixed Media Paper? 80 lb Cardstock? 120 lb Cardstock?
One is not better than the other. It's about which one gives the look you would go for.
But more importantly, what would you make with coffee dyed papers? A tag? Card? Journal page? MemoryDex card? Would love to know where your creative brain goes with this. Watch the Coffee Dye Masterclass here ➡️ https://youtu.be/yYESzeYHHlA
Coffee's on! ☕️ And with that a little different video this week 😃 I call it a Coffee-Dye Masterclass because we're not just making brown paper and calling it vintage. We are discovering. Taking differing papers... applying the same process... With differing results. Not only that, we will ask the question: what can we actually make with it. Well...maybe a little o' MemoryDex card to finish things off. Come play with coffee (or tea) and paper with me. ➡️ https://youtu.be/yYESzeYHHlA

Sometimes the best reason to take a class is simply to learn something you've never made before.
And then that's where imagination kicks in.
To be given the tools, the mechanics, if you will, for how to build a thing then creates the foundation to take those ideas where YOU want them to go.
That is one of the greatest things about this book build called SOMETHING NEW.
