‪@AMD‬ AMD is dropping support for their 5000 and 6000 GPUs. Less than 5 years after the release of the 6000 series.
Meanwhile I can still download updates drivers for my GTX 860M. A 2014 mid tier laptop GPU.

One of 3 reasons I would buy an ‪@NVIDIAGeForce‬ GPU today if I could, even with all the BS they receive from many people online.

Disgusting behaviour AMD.

EDIT: It looks like they retreated. Maybe. A smart move. You can't fight like the saviour of the people while acting like a db.

I don't know how accurate the info is, but I just heard that @Nvidia invested in @intel and they are even going to cooperate in developing an APU together with Nvidia creating/designing? the iGPU of it.
Don't take this as accurate information, just hearsay. Time will tell.

It annoys me when tech channels try to push their own view or even agenda, but pretend it is not a subjective view. It can easily be seen most times just by the thumbnail/title of a video, though obviously if you watch said video, there is no doubt. They remind me of those terrible infomercials. They disgust me.

2014 XMG laptop. With a NVMe SSD as C drive. The drive is not detected by the BIOS, but otherwise it's fine. I decided to replace it with a newer, but used, larger drive I have from my dead desktop PC. The XMG laptop has issues, especially with the GPU, but zero money means trying things. The BIOS still can't see this much newer SSD, but if I run Linux LiveCD I can see the drive. I can also see the drive if I run windows 10 installation from a USB stick. Unfortunately when it reboots the laptop gives me a message it can't find a boot drive. The drive works.

WTF is going on?

I have one idea which I think I will try, but I am so confused.

Here's some free #techadvice ,no idea if the # works here or not.

When you have large amounts of data to transfer between hard drive(s), transfer them in segments. This will improve the overall time it takes and it will put less pressure on the drive.

Also, it's better to avoid moving files and instead using copy and then delete the source if needed. If something goes wrong during the operation, you risk losing files.

Why so many content creators push for liquid cooling for CPUs? Very very few CPUs might need it, mostly CPUs from team blue and those only the very high tier ones at certain conditions.
Please, stop pushing liquid cooling like your life depends on it. It's all BS.

Nothing wrong with wanting it because you prefer how it looks or perhaps you do get some lower temps, but don't try to pass it like the only logical choice or something. Stop spreading BS.

I was today years old when I realized that the company ‪@GIGABYTE_Global‬ got its name from...gigabyte. How is it possible that through all these decades I just made this connection? I use their products for ever, I talk or think about them ever week. Why didn't I think of this before? This is weird.
