CinemaFilmMovies is dedicated to chronicling the theatrical release history of motion pictures in the U.S. Each video presents the theatrically released films of a specific calendar year through chronological slideshows featuring authentic movie posters.

CFM's approach serves multiple purposes: documenting cinema's evolution, examining generational trends in marketing and graphic design, and celebrating the communal experience of moviegoing. Additionally, the channel's episodes function as cultural artifacts that trace changes in fashion, language, and societal identity through the lens of film marketing.

Since launch, CinemaFilmMovies has uploaded coverage spanning five decades of cinema, with completed videos covering 1970-2019. The project continues to expand backwards through film history, with the 1950s and 1960s already in the works for 2026.
