Our 3 & 5-Day Intensives provide deep, focused healing work that months or years of traditional counseling often can’t match. Our certified clinicians bring extensive experience and skilled training to give you and your spouse individual recovery plans and a relationship recovery plan to help you be successful upon your return home after our intensive program.

For intensives conducted in the month of September and October only, up to a $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP is now available to qualifying individuals and couples.

An intensive gives us the opportunity to step away from the distractions of everyday life and spend concentrated, one-on-one and couples time getting to the heart of what is happening in your relationship. Whether you’re trying to stop destructive patterns, understand what happened, rebuild trust, or determine how to move forward, we can do significant work together in a matter of days.

Trust is the foundation of any relationship, and when it’s broken by infidelity, the pain can feel insurmountable. Both partners are left reeling—one grappling with the deep hurt and betrayal, the other often caught in a spiral of guilt and shame. Rebuilding trust after an affair is one of the most challenging things a couple can face, but it’s important to know that it is possible. We’ve seen it happen time and time again in our practice, but it requires commitment, patience, and a willingness from both parties to do the hard work necessary for healing.

For the betrayed spouse, rebuilding trust means allowing yourself to feel the full spectrum of your emotions—anger, sadness, confusion, and grief—without rushing the process. It’s about setting clear boundaries, committing to your own healing, and communicating your needs as you navigate this difficult journey. Trust doesn’t just come back on its own; it needs to be rebuilt brick by brick, with transparency, honesty, and consistent actions over time.

For the wayward spouse, the path to rebuilding trust involves taking full accountability for your actions without minimizing the pain you’ve caused. It’s about being fully transparent, patient, and understanding that trust will not be regained overnight. You must show through your actions, not just your words, that you are committed to change and to the process of healing. This means being open, honest, and consistent in your efforts to rebuild the relationship.

As a couple, the journey to rebuild trust requires both partners to be committed to healing—not just individually, but together. This often involves seeking professional help, whether through therapy or counseling, to navigate the complex emotions and challenges that arise. It’s a long road, and it can be incredibly difficult, but with time, effort, and mutual commitment, trust can be rebuilt. Discovering that your boyfriend or husband has a sex addiction can leave you feeling shocked, betrayed, overwhelmed, and alone. The good news is that you don't have to walk through the healing process by yourself.

At Heart to Heart Counseling Center, we have phone support groups for partners of sex addicts that provide a safe community for women recovering from the impact of pornography addiction, sex addiction, infidelity, and betrayal trauma in the relationship. Each group is led by one of our trained therapists and, using the 12-step program, helps women to understand addiction, process difficult emotions, rebuild stability, and find hope alongside others who truly understand what they're experiencing.
