We are playing an epic 3 player custom wargame created by‪ ‪@middleguard1836‬ in both Tabletop and Napoleon Total War.

I am playing as the British Canadians must fend off the new and expanding USA in the 1812 war. But my allies, the Native Americans, played by ‪‪@Danthemantis‬‬ have betrayed me. Now I am fighting on two fronts, outnumbered and outgunned.

Can I pull off a miraculous victory and redeem myself from the Spanish Campaign, or will I be crushed by the Americans?

As someone I looked up to in the community, I am sad to see such a pillar of strength and honesty resign his post. Then again, I am happy for Legend because like all channels this one will eventually fade into nonexistence. And finishing well, finishing in good standing with yourself and your community is by far the best thing you can do as a creator, and that’s what he did. All the best to him, and believe me, these last few livestreams he’s gonna do are going to be packed.

We’ll all be there supporting you on the streams Legend, and we’ll carry on the watch of Total War. Thank you for all your dedication and creation over the years, as one of the most genuine creators out there.

I got fed up seeing the collapse of the historical gaming community, so I did something about it..

Currently the biggest problem with the previous community is that everyone is so fragmented in small tiny groups, it becomes dead and lonely. And that’s why I started this server: to bring together all the different people, the different voices, the different opinions, all into one place. This is not just convenient, but it bridges the gap between channels, and we hope it will bring people together.

Here’s the truth about monetizing content creation: from ad revenue alone, I could have made more money in 4-5 hours at McDonalds than I did on my Spain finale video.

But the thing is, the payout has to be the least of your concerns at this level. If I was doing this for the money, 1. I would be very dumb, and 2. the only metric that is valuable at this level is continued growth but more importantly, community.

Views come and go, but the way you gain consistency in views is not through making crazier and crazier videos, it’s by building your channel base. The more you do that, the more of a boost your video will get because of initial subscriber interaction.

If you can pair that with the other 2 keys to a successful YouTube video, I.e a great thumbnail and the first 30 seconds keeping as many viewers retained as possible, you have yourself a video that will sail through the algorithm.

If you’re a small channel like mine, don’t get disheartened by small numbers, because it only takes consistency and finding your niche to start breaking out of the mold.
