I never used to volunteer. I never lived in a small town. And I definitely never cooked for 75 people—until Spring Creek.

Since joining the ‪@springcreekccnc‬ board, I’ve found myself doing things I never expected and loving every minute of it. This place, this community, and these people have truly become home.

So yes, I nearly burned out my KitchenAid making scratch-made pasta and mac & cheese for the Spring Creek School reunion. But feeding people I care about? That part was easy. 💛

I love that photo posts are making a comeback. I am a total nerd when it comes to editing my videos and sharing them on my channels, but there’s something so beautiful about sharing photos — even those not perfectly curated.

This July 4 was a very special day. I’m actually not American (for anyone who didn’t already know) and I loved learning about Independence Day with my daughters. ChatGPT is my bestie when it comes to bullet journal prompts or video recommendations for learning as we begin our homeschooling journey. We also just ordered our grade 1 curriculum and I am so excited to unbox it when it arrives!

The farmhouse is looking awesome — we’re ready to start working into the rest of the house, now that the original cabin’s foundation has been fixed and framing completed. We’re likely still at least 6 months to a year out from moving back in but that’s ok!

The goats are doing well. I’m battling with them about shade structures. I keep putting ones up and they keep tearing them down lol. I’ll post about that soon.

Finished off the day at our friend’s party. Is there anything more quintessential July 4 than kids playing on a hot summer day in a pond?

After years of eyeing these Spring Creek vanity plates, I finally brought one home from Trust General Store. My husband helped me get it on the minivan, and I found myself happy-crying in the driveway—thumbs up and all (even if my thumb looks super weird in every single photo... like, is that even my hand??).
Having grown up as a city girl, I had no idea a small rural township could feel like this. We’ve weathered hurricanes, chased runaway goats, and shared so much laughter, grit, and kindness. I’ve met the most incredible people here—and I’m so proud to now serve on the board of the Spring Creek Community Center, helping with communications and lease committee work.

Stella is looking for a foster / furever home!

A contact reached out about her. This pup jumped into her truck off i40, likely dumped ☹️

Stella is extremely beautiful and very sweet, hasn’t shown any aggression whatsoever, is learning training every day… but my contact can’t keep her in the house with her 5 lb Shihtzu 🤦🏻‍♀️ she just plays a bit too rough.

Stella is very healthy and happy but not spayed. She is currently on flea/tick prevention and has been dewormed her to be in safe side.

She is full American pit or mix, but looks much like a purebred. Guessing age between 2-3 based on teeth.

Stella has been observed with other dogs and elementary age children. She is VERY loving but also very excitable so she needs supervision ONLY for not knowing her own strength

My contact believes believe that Stella was kept outside to breed, so she is new to being inside a home with “things and stuff” so she had no idea how to relax. At first she was scared of EVERYTHING especially their American flag — but has conquered most fears already.

Stella LOVES her kennel and they have a rigid schedule so she has not had any accidents in the house.

My contact will drive Stella across state lines if they find the right home for her. They’re located in Del Rio, TN. Please message me if you’re interested in being connected with Stella’s current “foster”!
