After almost a full year of waiting, I'm glad to announce a newly remastered episode for the series that started it all: Remarkable Engines. In order to hype this up and to align it just before the Thanksgiving holiday, this remastered episode on one of the most viewed videos of the series will premiere on Tuesday, Nivember 25th at 6PM ET (3PM PT). Fun Fact: I didn't catch this during the catalog review, but the lionel PRR fantasy livery of the M497 Jet Railcar shares the same number as PRR E8 #5706: an engine that was covered in an early episode of Remarkable Engines. The engine would later become Amtrak 495 where it would be leased during the early years of Metro North commuter rail service due to an equipment shortage, and the engine would later become PRR 5706 again as it ran excursions on the Reading & Northern before being turned into a BBQ restaurant in a Southern Crescent livery in Irondale AL, and has sadly been scrapped a few years ago.
