Have you checked out the latest uploads on the channel? If not, we dove deep into 2 more simple, yet powerful drills to improve your triple jump technique and rhythm.
I also shared another longer upload of a recent speaking engagement opportunity I had. If you consider yourself a student of the sport, you don’t want to miss the gems dropped in that one 💎💎💎
My people! Just a quick update: I’m heading to Paris to watch & create content at the Olympics! 🇫🇷
I’ll do my best to capture some jumps footage to share here in through the rest of the summer. It will be a few weeks before I’m able to shoot all your video requests, but keep them coming.
In the meantime, there will be another round of videos coming soon, stay tuned.
At the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League this weekend creating content alongside some of the world’s greatest athletes ✨
I had a sit down interview today with one of the most dominant long jumpers in the history of the event — and yes, I’ll be uploading it to the channel.
We talked about what it takes to be the top ranked jumper in your event for multiple years in a row, and how to develop the mentality to reach your goals as an athlete. I’m really excited to share it with you.
But until then — who here can guess the athlete I interviewed? (Hint: this person has 3 Olympic medals)
My people! I know it’s been ages since I’ve uploaded a full video — or anything at all for that matter.
I just wanted to check in with you guys and apologize for the radio silence. I have a lot of demands on my time right now, and I haven’t been able to prioritize YouTube because of it lately.
That said, do know that I am always working hard behind the scenes on things that were promised on this channel — good things take time.
As always, thanks for your patience, it doesn’t go unnoticed 🙏🏿
Thanks to everyone who participated in the survey I posted the other day. Your feedback was super helpful ✊🏿
When film reviews go live, I’ll be accepting submissions only from those on the email newsletter list — this is how I’ll be able to keep things organized.
Joining the list is completely free. Just click this link and sign up. If you’ve already joined in the past, no need to sign up again.
Many of you have been requesting personal film reviews over the past week, and I’m trying to figure out a way to get to each of you, while not burning myself out in the process.
(Please please please don’t DM me your footage if I haven’t asked for it beforehand — I will not be able to review it.)
So can you do me a favor? All I need is your honest answer to this question:
Would you be willing to pay between $10-$20 to receive personalized film reviews from me?
Last summer, there were some major changes in my life, so I went MIA from YouTube - and everywhere else, but that's another story...
I'll give you all an update soon enough. In the meantime, I wanted to let you know that I've been seeing all of the latest comments and questions on the channel, and I'll be working through answering as many as I can. Thanks for your patience ✊🏿
My people! I uploaded a video last week talking about jumping from the furthest board, but after reviewing a few of the comments, I see that it could have caused more confusion rather than value. I decided to unlist it for that reason.
I posted that video from the perspective of an athlete — not a coach, but I understand how that wasn’t clear. Sorry about that!
The key takeaway is this:
Without seeing you jump in person and *actually* coaching you, I cannot, and will not, make any specific recommendations as to which board you should be jumping from. That would be irresponsible of me.
But in my own personal experience as a young jumper, I found success in going from the further board after gaining some experience and learning about the event. It was a risk that I took which paid off well, but it was still a risk all the same.
Hopefully that all makes sense. See you in the next vid!
