History is, indeed, a story. With his unique voice and engaging delivery, historian and veteran storyteller Fred Kiger will help the compelling stories of the American Civil War come alive in each and every episode. Filled with momentous issues and repercussions that still resonate with us today, this series will feature events and people from that period and will strive to make you feel as if you were there.

BIG NEWS - We've taken the time to create a playlist that will let you listen to the shows in chronological order so you can follow the progression as it happened during the Civil War. It doesn't include every episode we've produced because some of them are biographical and others cover a span of time.
Here it is: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
If there's any other playlist that you think we're missing, let us know. Thanks for the support!

We plan to go live around 10:15 AM/ET this morning for our first live stream. We might be a few minutes earlier or later as we get everything set up, but we're excited to talk about Civil War battlefield. Don't worry if you miss it. The replay will be available on the channel after we finish.

We've been thinking of ways to provide additional content to viewers and more access to members. The idea we want to try out is a (hopefully) monthly live video with Fred where we'll focus on a specific topic involving the Civil War. The video will be available for everyone but questions are going to be reserved for members only.
On Friday (2/28), we'll debut this new format on the channel. The first topic will be 'Visiting Civil War Battlefields' so we'll talk about and answer questions about Civil War sites to visit and, once there, things to do/see.
If you have any questions you'd like to ask Fred on the show, drop them in the comments and we'll start compiling them for Friday.
This will be a test run but if people enjoy it, we'll keep it going. Thanks for all the support!

How important is it to be able to listen to the episodes in order of the date they happened? We are thinking about going through and sorting all the past shows and creating a new playlist.

Happy New Year! We're excited for 2024 and our first full year on YouTube.
Thanks for all of the support so far. We'll continue rolling out long-form Civil War storytelling episodes twice each month. Be on the lookout for new conversations with Fred about a wide range of topics dealing with the Civil War, where we'll get his insight and perspective on many of the aspects of the war every month as well.
As always, thanks for all the support. If you have anything specific you'd like us to feature in future videos, just leave a comment and we'll do our best to accommodate it down the road.
